Location: Landing Platform – Freewheeling – Tomin Kora

Participants: Narai, Ladek

The explorer-class ship Enlightenment had just landed a few minutes prior, the doors to the ship open and several guards standing watch outside. With them, the explorer and businessman Narai speaks to a local trader. While he had heard much of Tomin Kora during his travels, he has not yet been here. They exchange a few words, before the trader scurries away.

From the direction of the newer Transdimensional shuttle rushes Ladek, left sleeve empty and excitement on his face as he takes in the sight. Barely fazed by the setting of the planet, for the moment the human does not seem to notice Narai as he explores, although should he be noticed the Opodian might recall the rifting incident when they found Iso.

"Watch the ship. If anyone tries to come aboard, shoot them. I hear this is a dangerous place, and such things can happen. I will travel lightly." Narai says, pointing to one of the guards. "Follow." He snorts, turning to walk away from the ship, when he sees Ladek. His eyes focus on the man, thinking he is familiar. "Good evening, fine sir. You seem familiar.. Have we met?"

A black ship, probably the size of a small freighter, flies overhead. It lands directly across from the Enlightenment.

Ladek meets with the Opodian as he address the human, and he looks to him, and recognition shows in his expression, "Narai!" he says enthusiaatically, "You were there at the time that I rifted, I recall you as if it was still that day, what with all the news that was on after, you will be kind of happy to know that I didnt mention to others," he looks to the guards then to Narai, nodding so he will get it, "My apologies, it is just that I got my arm ripped from my body, then got rifted to the moon and Mars, what with all the rifting things got kind of crazy," for the moment the human looks over to the ship landing but brushes it as a simple normality of spaceport activity, even in where the timeline he is from he only ever stayed on Earth usually, he dosent know alot about the dangers of Tomin Kora.

"Indeed, good sir." Narai replies, lookign the man over. "You are well I trust? And as for what happened on Irinnar, it is fine. The Solidarity holdings have been absorbed into the Danu Chroi. I have since taken to the stars, opening an Embassy on Sivad. Expanding knowledge and making allies where I go. Need to keep busy, hmmm."

Ladek chuckles softly and replies, "Their Cybernetics officer Aina is working on making me a new arm, someone that shot and got me on Pyracan tried to do the rest of it on Imperiul Baile, but the matter got settled," he adds to it and gently nods, "Even met quite a beautiful Lyiri," he smiles.

Nodding, Narai continues. "Tomin Kora is not place for a man with... ummm.. one arm." He chuckles. "You better be careful. If anything you should return across the rift and get that cybernetic arm. Just a thought." He smiles. "A Lyiri, you say? Interesting.. Interesting indeed. What else have you been upto, good sir?"

The airlock to the black ship opens. A few moments later, an Opodian walks out of it. He walks around his ship, seemingly minding his own buisiness.

Ladek chuckles softly and looks to Narai, "Feel it is kind of my fault Grey passed away, I lost an arm and he lost something more precious, and as for the arm I have been practicing to use the other, if I did a little of more stuff Grey might still be about," he sighs softly, "The cousin took the business, Ushi, I think," he adds. The human glances to the ship, "Another Opodian," he says thoughtfully.

"Mister Grey was always getting into trouble. He loved it. Caught up with him, I suppose. When we captured Sanctuary together, it was a great day. He will be missed, despite is sometimes less than reputable business dealings." Narai replies, chuckling. "Yes, another Opodian. Doesn't suprise me. Rift technology is easily accessible now. We will see alot of trans-dimensional travel now. Which reminds me, I have formed a new business venture having to do with that very concept!"

Ladek looks over to Narai again and nods, "Aye did not get to really know him but nobody should want such a thing to happen, I wish I might have done more, and I heard alot about Sanctuary, personally I dont think it is made in my timeline, and what business venture is that, to do with the rifts?" he asks, human is armed with two swords on his back and two pistols so he might seem a little wellarmed, in a, manner of speaking.

"Trans-Dimensional Expeditions, or TDX for short." Narai replies. "There is a lot of possibilities for trans-dimensional business, and few have really engaged in it. From exploration, to information and diplomacy. To making money. I have my capital ship, the Prominence, and my explorer ship, the Enlightenment, both equipped to make rift jumps. I plan on equipping other ships as I aquire more staff."

Ladek nods thoughtfully a little and smiles, "I happen to be an Engineer myself and I like to work on ships, it is exciting, and I am thinking of visiting Earth, I would like a rift drive and all but my ship is a scout, bought it mostly for travel and my Lyiri friend, I rescued her on B'hira," he shows him a picture of her from his PDA and smiles, before pocketing it, "Beautiful eh?" he asks.

The lone Opodian from the black ship stops checking out his ship, turning towards the Enlightenment.

Narai nods, "I suppose. I really wouldnt know." He chuckles. "Well, a rift drive will set you back one million credits. So you would have to have some funds available. Rift exploration isn't cheap these days." He looks at the Opodian walking towards him, "Wonder if he's coming to say hello, hmm?"

Ladek nods, "That is quite alot of credits," he says and turns to watch the Opodian as well as he stands by Narai, one hand instinctively gently shifts to his belt in a fashion that is more casual than a stance of offense, "Maybe, both of ya are of the same race," he says politely, "Quite a stylish thing of a ship there," he adds with a chuckle.

The Opodian reaches into a satchel as he gets closer to Ladek and Narai. Pulling out some sort of energy pistol, he shoots Narai's guard in the head, dropping him to the ground. "Traitors, all of you! You will repent, and meet Opodi in the afterlife!" He shouts as he shoots.

As Narai's guard hits the ground, Narai stumbles backwards, almost tripping over himself. "I am unarmed. Guards!" He shouts, hoping the guards near his ship hear him, or react in time at least.

Ladek was on the guard as always but wouldnt imagine someone would open fire so blatantly, and as he watches the guard hit the ground his reaction is to shift protectively near Narai, his one is what he has but with recent training he pulls it fairly quickly giving him a chance to shoot at the offensive Opodian with his pistol, not taking considerable amounts of time to aim as he fires to the general chest area with the one hand.

The Opodian Assassin is shot in the chest, dropping like a rock on the ground. As the would-be assassin falls, the black ship lifts off, and in the open airlock appears another Opodian. "You will not survive!" He shouts, as he pulls out an energy rifle.

Narai stands up as Ladek takes out the shooter. "Thank you, but I don't think it's over quite yet." He adds.

And with that the human is on the alert, and watches as the scene continues on before him registering things quickly and nudges Narai with his armless side to get him behind the onearmed human but enough to where he can stand and run, and quickly pulls out the pistol, no point in the running for cover as both their aims will likely be a little put off but at least the human is ready this time and covers for Narai, "Run as soon as I give a shot!" he shouts to the Opodian behind him and quickly fires a shot, and is prepares to run as soon as there is any return fire coming his way, not waiting to get a good aim or for the Opodian to as he pulls the rifle and readies it.

The ship hovers above Ladek and Narai. As the next attacker prepares to shoot, he himself is shot in the leg. Throwing him off balance, and screaming in pain, he falls from the ship - hitting the ground with a SPLAT. As that happens, the ship's engines fire up and takes off into the atmosphere.

Narai watches the last attacker fall, sighing in relief. "Thank you, good sir." He grumbles, something about his security failing him as they eventually reach them. "Take our fallen comrade to the ship, then taken those two bodies as well for examination before the locals arrive. Hurry." He shakes his head. "Hand of Opodi.. they have attacked me several times since I took over Irinnar. I am surprised to find them on this side of the rift though."

Ladek nods just a little and sighs thoughtfully as he holsters the weapon and looks to the group, following with Narai as to try to not get caught up in much of anything.
