Overview

Member Worlds

Government

Consortium Council

The council serves as the governing body for developing and passing legislation on behalf of the citizens of the Solar Consortium. It also has oversight and direct command of the Consortium's intelligence services and military assets. Although the Consortium only officially recognizes three member worlds currently, the government's charter assumes that all territory from the heart of the sun to the outer limits of the Oort cloud falls under its domain.

The council consists of eight representatives from Earth (two each from Eurasia, Trans-America, Africa, and the Pacific Rim), two representatives from the domed city of Mare Tranquillitatus on Luna, and a total of four representatives from Mars (two each from the domed cities of Bradbury and Olympia). Once each year, the council chooses one among them to serve as chairperson. No chairperson may serve more than one year at a time, although a chair may be re-elected after a break in service of one year as chair.

Consortium Intelligence

  • Earth Planetary Intelligence Service: EPIS is the branch of Consortium Intelligence that analyzes intelligence data related to Earth.
  • Interplanetary Intelligence Service: IPIS is the branch of Consortium Intelligence that analyzes intelligence data related to other member worlds and threats beyond the conventional scope of the Consortium.
    • X Corps: X Corps is a highly specialized group of intelligence analysts, overseen by IPIS, that deals almost entirely with intelligence concerning threats and liabilities from beyond the Sol System.
