Cast: Seval Mikin, Katriana Nillu, Norran Lomasa, Voreyn Zahir, Subhan Lomasa, Grinn Harwel, Trinsa Kahar, Kensington, Dianna Lomasa

Air Date: Sometime in the year 623 (Thursday April 28, 2011)

Setting: The Thirsty Trout in Hawk's Aerie

The sprawling township of Hawk's Aerie is one of the plushest, wealthiest and most politically important settlements in the realm of Fastheld, poised as it is at the fork of River Road and the Imperial Thoroughfare, with control over the economically vital Fastheld Wharfs and the strategically critical access point of the bridge that spans the Fastheld River to Aegis Road.

Founded five centuries ago by Edran Nillu, the bustling riverport town has been a primary source of that noble house's cache with the throne on Caryas Hill and the guilds of the Market District, and has enabled the Nillus to establish themselves as an economic powerhouse.

The streets are kept clean of garbage and filthy peasants as much as possible. The elegant stone and wood buildings are kept in fine repair. It is rumored that the ravens of Hawk's Aerie get their talons polished, morning and night.

The breeze blows into the bustling wharf as the vassals and freelanders of Hawk's Aerie go about their business. Seval Mikin finds himself walking through it with a pensive gaze. His servants follow behind him with satchels full of books and various things.

Katriana Nillu emerges from the tavern, looking a bit perplexed as she wanders in the general direction of the stables, fingering her bow lightly. "Mmm, must find leatherworker," she muses to herself. "Perhaps the Market District..."

Norran emerges from the tavern a short time later, a haversack slung over one shoulder as he looks around the square. Spotting Katriana, he grins and jogs a bit to catch up with her. "Well, well! Finally leaving, are you? Ever get in contact with your sister?"

Seval Mikin hurries through the pier, emerging near the Tavern. His eyes adjust to the light as he steps out of the shade he had been walking in as he catches a glimpse of Katriana. His brow perks up and he heads her direction.

Katriana Nillu twists at Norran's voice, her head tilting to the side slightly. "Oh, Light Keep, Norran," she greets with a smile. "Yes, I did finally catch up to Sahna and she gave me a spot in the Nillu Guard." She looks quite pleased. "I was planning to go to the Market District in hopes of finding what I needed."

"Just like that, hm? I suppose I might get my appointment tomorrow, whatever that means. Know where she is going to put you, and what you're trying to find?" asks Norran, smiling in response to her. "And, whatever happened with those odd noblewomen after I left? Tell me something bad happened to the mouthy one."

"Katriana?" Seval says in the soft voice he's known for. He smiles toward her as he approaches. "Excuse me," he says looking toward Norran Lomasa as he realizes he had just interrupted a conversation. He's dressed in white robes of the Church and his servants follow closely behind him.

"I did not expect over much trouble with Sahna," Katriana replies with a light wave of her hand. "I expect to be stationed in Sweetwater once my Duchess returns there, mostly because I refuse to be overly far from my sister." She starts to respond about the women when Seval interjects. She turns, blinks once and then offers a deep curtsey. "My honored Uncle," she greets. "Light Keep."

"So nothing bad happened to the mouthy one," sighs Norran, looking over to Seval with a faintly surprised look, looking over to Katriana and then back to Seval. "Uncle? Unless that's a title within the Church I've yet heard of, I'm guessing the usage was completely literal." The young Lomasa gives a laugh, bowing his head to Seval in greeting. "Light's greetings, I am Norran Lomasa, of East Leg. I'm a friend of Katriana's."

"Light Keep, child," Seval replies bowing in return. He looks toward Norran then and chuckles, "Quite literal, yes. I am Patron Seval Mikin, Katriana's Uncle by marriage. Nice to meet you Lord Lomasa." Seval regards Katriana again, "I trust you and your sisters are well. I heard about dear Sahna's appointment. Your Aunt Meilah and I are very proud."

Katriana Nillu's green gaze brightens with amusement as she looks across to Norran. "She let her tongue wag too freely around Sahna. It was quite amusing to see her put in her place by my sister. I have hopes that it will lessen her propensity to spread false rumors and possibly dampen my or your reputations." Her brows lift toward Seval. "Patron? My Congratulations, Uncle. My sisters and I are quite well. Jahna still resides in the Lode while I have come to the Aerie to see Sahna and have been admitted into the Nillu Guard."

"A Patron at that? I hadn't even heard a new one had been appointed. Yes, congratulations. There are five, correct? One of each district?" Norran asks, tone curious. He looks back to Katriana and chortles gently. "Good. I don't know what reputation of mine she could have possibly dampened. It also seems we both seem to share the honor of having famous uncles."

"Thank you. I am honored by the appointment. The Church needs some level-headedness now more than ever." Seval looks toward Norran, "Five, that is true. One for each district of Fastheld." He smiles toward Kat, "Nillu Guard, you say? Your cousins will be tickled to hear that."

Katriana Nillu slants a look in Norran's direction, shaking her head. "She insinuated that you and I were partaking in a more carnal relationship. Sahna was not pleased by such an accusation." Her shoulders slump a little. "She's scary when she gets angry about something." She nods to Seval, "Yes, the appointment came yesterday. I shall have to write to my dear cousins. It has been quite some time since I saw them."

Voreyn Zahir has arrived.

Norran's brows shoot up as Katriana's speaks, leaning over to her and speaking softly, but audibly enough, "Ohperhapsthatsnotsomethingyoushouldbetalkingaboutwithyourpriestlyunclerighthereright?" He moves away with a cough, bearing a fake, idiotic smile. "Ah, and yes, which one have you been appointed of if I may ask?"

Outside the tavern Seval Mikin, an aging man dressed in the white robes of the Church, speaks to his niece Katriana Nillu and her friend Lord Norran Lomasa. A gaggle of servants hover near the priestly Mikin.

"The River District in fact," Seval replies to Norran's query with a warm smile. The banter between his niece and Norran seems to amuse him.

Subhan Lomasa has arrived.

Katriana Nillu also looks amused by Norran's words and merely shakes her head, "My apologies, Lord Lomasa, if I embarrassed you. Since there is no validity in the words, I am certain my dear Uncle would not seek retribution from you for trying to sully the reputation of one of his kin."

Scenepose for Sub: Outside the tavern Seval Mikin, an aging man dressed in the white robes of the Church, speaks to his niece Katriana Nillu and her friend Lord Norran Lomasa. A gaggle of servants hover near the priestly Mikin.

A carriage rolls into the square with a clatter of wheels on cobbles, and the door clicks open to emit a bright-eyed Voreyn Zahir with a thin leather satchel tucked beneath her left arm. A young boy follows in her wake, stopping long enough to offer money to the driver, before he skips quickly to catch up to the noblewoman.

"And that was two bags of tea, right?" Voreyn inquires as the boy skids to a stop beside her, panting. "Two bags, and this time *check* if the leaves are dry. I won't pay for something damp and moldy, pft! Off you go, please." She dismisses him with a flick of her finger and pauses near the tavern to flip through some papers in the satchel with a frown of concentration.

"Merely trying to be courteous," explains Norran, keeping his smile. He takes notice of the noblewoman disembarking from the carriage, arching a brow. "Hm, this place is quite popular with the nobility these days. I've seen 5 out of 6 of the Houses already in the last couple of days, all I'm missing is a Zahir."

Two horses and riders come along soon enough, and while it's quite assumable the reason Subhan has dared leave the safety of the Castle of Hours to find Dianna, the pace that she and her guard Phillip are riding at is quite sedate. Of course this sedate pace could be due to the pallor the Lomasa noblewoman sports, certain sign that today isn't one of those days the sickly woman feels robust and full of life.

Seval's eyes gaze toward Voreyn, his brow raising. He looks toward Norran, and chuckles. "She's certainly beautiful enough to be a Zahir," he comments softly for Norran's benefit.

"Hmm, I never thought of Zahir as a beautiful House," Katriana muses quietly amongst her group. "Kahar always pops to mind, or perhaps even Mikin in terms of beauty. Zahir has always made me consider moving about in the darkness, and snakes, so a reptilian sheen."

"Historically the Zahirs were known to be the most alluring Fastheld House," Seval whispers in reply, before glancing back to Voreyn.

After a moment of sorting through what appear to be ledger documents, it seems that Voreyn is quite unlikely to sprout scales or stick out a forked tongue. How disappointing. She does, however, feel a little tingly spot on her nose that causes her to glance up from beneath her lashes to spy the group of fellow nobles idling outside of the tavern. If she is aware that their focus or conversation were about her, she does nothing to show this.

"Good day to you my Lords, my Lady," she offers politely and with a bob of her head before turning her attention down to her satchel once more, rifling through it with a snort of frustration. The clippity clop of horses marching into the square has her automatically moving in closer to the building to avoid being underfoot of mounted traffic.

"I think I can agree with that assessment, Katriana," chuckles Norran, looking up to the sun ever-lowering in the sky and looking to the other two. "Well, I should take care of some business I have around the town. If you're not coming back here after you head to the market, Katriana, be sure to write me from wherever you end up." He then looks to Seval, lips turning up in a grin. "You sound like you're trying to butter her up for some reason or another, even though she can't hear you. An honor meeting you, Your Grace. Light guide you both." With that, he heads off toward the Aerie's merchant district.

The clip-clop of horses draws ever nearer as the pair of Subhan and Phillip make way towards the tavern's stables. They stop just outside, Phillip dismounting and moving over to help Subhan down from her mount before leading both horses away. Nervous hands wring together while she waits the moment it takes her guard to board the horses and once he returns, the pair of them make way towards the tavern, and consequently those who linger outside of it.

Katriana Nillu flashes a smile in Norran's direction before bowing down to her Uncle again. "It was wonderful to see you, but I must be on my way as well. I must get to the Market District and back before nightfall. Light keep, Uncle. I am sure that I will see you very soon." She turns and walks in the direction of the stables, bobbing down into a quick curtsey as she walks by Subhan.

"Light's Greetings, M'lady," Seval Mikin replies in his soft voice toward the Zahir. His servants bow toward her when the priestly Mikin glances toward them. Seval's smile then turns back toward Norran and Katriana, "It was a pleasure meeting you, Lord Lomasa. Light Keep you. Katriana, my dear, do come visit Meilah and I now that we're in the Aerie."

Voreyn glances sideways to the servants, acknowledging their curtseys and bows with a slight nod. At the mention of a name, however, her gaze cuts quickly to the departing figure of Norran, and she steps closer to Seval with a curious rustling of her skirts. "Did I hear you say 'Lord Lomasa', my Lord? I wonder which one he is, then, for he looks so naggingly familiar. I just cannot place him...." Squinting, she lapses into a pensive silence while absently stuffing her papers back into the satchel.

Grinn Harwel has arrived.

There is a small smile, and passing curtsey offered to Katrianna before Subhan continues on her way. It seems something or other that Seval speaks makes the sickly Lomasa pause and stiffen a bit, a quiet breath taken before she steps up to greet Seval and Voreyn quietly, "My Lord, my Lady."

"I did indeed," Seval says with a nod looking toward Voreyn. "That right there was Lord Norran Lomasa of East Leg and Lady Katriana Nillu of the Nillu Guard," he offers her, looking as though he hopes that helps. His eyes catch the second noblewoman before she greets him and he bows his head, "Light's Greeting, M'lady."

Katriana Nillu has left.

Norran Lomasa has left.

An old dilapidated wagon trundles in, drawn by a murky-eyed mule so scraggly and swaybacked it looks as though it's been around longer than the Aegis. An enormously obese merchant sits atop the wagon, weighing at least as much as the goods he transports. And beside that wagon strolls Grinn. The sell-sword wields a halberd like a walking stick, supporting his weight against its oak haft with every step.

"My Lady," Voreyn replies to Subhan, dipping into a curtsey. Her gaze lingers on the paler woman briefly, her lips pinching with a glint of concern. Seconds later, however, her features smooth into a neutral expression and she turns her attention once more to Seval. "Lord Norran Lomasa, indeed! That is the very one of whom I was thinking, and his name was just on the tip of my tongue. I recall him from a ball maybe--two years ago. Goodness, how time flies. He was the only gentleman who didn't stomp my slippers into submission while dancing. Lord Norran Lomasa..." She reaches up to cover a girlish giggle with one gloved hand.

"Light's Greeting." Subhan echoes to Seval before passing a faint smile and curtsey to Voreyn. The light of violet eyes seems to dull more with the furthering of conversation between the Mikin and Zahir, her gaze soon turning down towards fretting hands clasping gently at her skirts.

Remembering his manners, Seval introduces himself to the two Ladies, "I'm Patron Seval Mikin of the River District." His voice is soft and like honey and his smile is warm and likely to put one at ease.

An urchin strays into the wagon's path. Grinn's step quickens. He overtakes the wagon, reaching the boy quickly, and plants a mud-caked boot so squarely in the lad's rump that the he goes sprawling face first into the gutter. The merchant claps his hands gleefully and giggles.

Voreyn's eyebrows shoot upward at the introduction, and she blushes as she dips into an even deeper curtsey for Seval. "It is an honor to make your acquaintance, Your Grace," she murmurs, rising up slowly and eyeing the Mikin from beneath her lashes. With three quick glances, whatever she sees seems to put her at her ease, and she relaxes back onto her heels with an audible exhalation. Her lips are parting as she venture to make an observation aloud, but the scuffle at the periphery of her vision distracts her long enough to lose track completely of her own thoughts.

"I--I apologize for taking up your precious time with idle chatter, Your Grace," she manages to recover, shaking her head enough to dislodge an inky black curl from her coif. She reaches down with her free right hand and clasps her skirts with her gloved fingers.

"Your Grace." Subhan offers as well, she too giving a deep curtsey to Seval. A bit weak-kneed, Phillip aids the sickly Lomasa in rising again with a smooth, practiced ease which might even go unnoticed. Her manner remains extremely subdued, the ill-at-ease air remaining despite the Patron's warmth. Her gaze remains fixed downwards, leaving Grinn unnoticed by her, though it seems Phillip has spotted the sell-sword with the way his head turns just enough to keep an eye on the other man.

"Make way," Grinn bellows. Peasants scurry from the wagon's path now, eager to avoid a swift kick or a thwack from a halberd's haft. Wagon and mercenary continue around and bend and deeper into the Aerie.

Grinn Harwel has left.

"Don't apologize. I'm interested to learn your insights on the Lord Lomassa since he is a friend of my beloved niece's," the priestly Mikin replies toward Voreyn. Seval catches the sight of the urchin boy falling into the gutter and he lets out a sigh. "Vicke, go to the boy there and get him home," he says looking back toward one of his servants. He shakes his head and crosses his arms watching the wagon turn a corner out of sight.

Voreyn hovers on the brink of indecision, glancing between Seval and Subhan with a deep frown. She worries her lower lip between her teeth and finally exhales once deciding what to do. "Indeed, Your Grace, I can only offer a few of my own observations I made during the ball. It was, however, two years ago, and young men are prone to changing their ways in such time," she replies to the Mikin, offering the faintest of smiles. The Zahir lapses into silence while Seval orders a servant to tend to the boy, and she follows Vicke with her gaze briefly. "Lord Norran Lomasa was quite polite, did not hover, and did not over-reach himself by attempting to kiss a lady's fingers upon meeting. He was reserved and stately, skilled with small talk, and otherwise a quite respectable person. He did not favor any particular girl with more than one dance, either. No--yes--no... No, that is right, he did not. And he drank very little, for a Lomasa. I suppose he could be consider quite taciturn by their standards! But I wonder if it was not merely the awkwardness of youth. It is, in my experience, quite a bore for men to prattle endlessly in ballrooms."

"Cousin Norran is jovial, in his way." Subhan offers with a quiet voice which, much like her eyes lacks much of the light of life at the current moment. She falls silent once more, though, gaze still remaining downcast as trembling hands continue to fret. Perhaps a bit worried, Phillip gently takes hold of one of her arms, at the elbow.

"Young men perhaps," Seval quips jokingly. "I've been told my endless prattling is most titillating by my Vassals. And they know I respect their candid critiques." The Mikin looks toward Subhan, "Lady Lomasa, I presume, then? Might I know the names of the beautiful noblewomen of Hawk's Aerie?"

Vicke nods toward his Lord and rushes after the urchin. Getting the boy back on his feet he helps him brush himself off. The kid doesn't look too hurt but Vicke does as he's commanded anyhow, inquiring of the boy's home.

"It must have been the circumstances," Voreyn replies, voice growing firm with sudden irritation. She presses her lips together and grows silent, busying herself with settling her satchel beneath her arm while simultaneously watching Vicke rescue the urchin from the gutter. When Seval inquires of Subhan's name, Voreyn's attention returns to the conversation and she watches the other woman with a carefully neutral expression.

"Subhan Lomasa, Your Grace. I spologize for not introducing myself earlier." Subhan offers quietly, chin dipping with respect towards Seval. Quite momentarily her hands clasp just a bit tighter, the action seeming coincidental to the addition of firm irritation to Voreyn's voice.

Seval Mikin seems a bit puzzled his company didn't think his joke was that funny. "That's quite all right, Lady Subhan," the priest replies. He looks toward Voreyn then, "And you, M'lady?"

"Voreyn Zahir, Your Grace," the woman replies absently, still watching Subhan. She shakes herself out of her own thoughts and turns back to Seval, offering a smile that might be one shade too cheerful to be natural. "Of Fanghill, that is. Daughter of Count Noryn Zahir." She bobs her head this time upon introducing herself, having done enough curtseying to appease the sense of propriety.

"I am of East Leg." Subhan supplies, the faint smile returning briefly to her lips to be presented first to Seval and then to Voreyn, "Though I stay with my sister and brother at the Castle of Hours of late."

"Lady Zahir," Seval says almost as a question. "I think Lord Lomasa may have recognized you after all," he says pensively.

Voreyn returns Subhan's smile, this time with something much more genuine, and relaxes visibly. Seval's comment, however, has her eyebrows arching upward in bonafide surprise. "Did he?" she inquires, her tone curiosity mingled with puzzlement. "I am shamed to have barely recognized him, in that case. He spoke of me, then?"

Subhan Lomasa's smile once more fades into the dull mien of subdued neutrality and it seems the ground is to once more be the focus of her attention. The hem of her skirts rustle gently as a foot shifts, poking unseen at the dirt.

"No, but I get the feeling he knew you were of the House Zahir," Seval replies. "I originally thought it was because of your beauty and grace but the coincidence is puzzling. No matter, though, child - fret on it no more."

Beauty and grace indeed. Voreyn blushes prettily and glances down at her hands, smoothing her gloved fingers over her skirt in a modest and self-conscious manner. "Perhaps we should venture inside, Your Grace? Lady Lomasa looks as if she could use a respite with a nice cup of tea in her hands, and I need to see how much my boy has lost to the dice instead of purchasing the tea I requested." She casts an inquisitive glance toward Seval and then Subhan, half-turning and lifting the hem of her skirt as if ready to proceed.

Subhan Lomasa once again turns a faint smile upon Voreyn, an aquiescing nod given to the suggestion of heading within, "Oh. Yes, that would be quite nice, Lady Zahir. The tea here really is quite nice."

"The Thirsty Trout?" Seval Mikin replies bemusedly, his eyes landing upon the the tavern they stand in front of. He pauses for a moment and then nods. "I could go for some tea myself. After you ladies," the priest gestures toward the door. A servant of his walks over and opens it. Seval then regards the rest of his servants, "Take my findings to Lady Meilah. She'll know what to make of it, I wager." The vassals seem relieved to be off again as they hurry off into Hawk's Aerie.

"I agree, Lady Subhan, hence I send off for bags of it once a week. I do enjoy my tea," Voreyn replies with crinkle-eyed amusement. She turns to bob the servant a nod of gratitude before leading the way, breezing through the door and into the tavern on silent steps.

"I shall have to tell Dianna of how you like the tea. The Trout belongs to my sister, you see." Subhan supplies in an effort to be more conversational than she's been this entire time, the Baroness and her guard following after Voreyn.

Seval Mikin walks in after his Lady companions, his servant following behind him.

Thirsty Trout - Fastheld - Palisade - Fastheld
A rustic elegance comes from the natural warmth of the large, open room and remains what the Thirsty Trout Tavern is all about. As a bustling spot of business within the large township of Hawk's Aerie, there are plenty of quiet niches and corners for privacy, and in truth, the establishment has been redesigned with such an idea in mind. Along the outter walls that have not been taken up by doors, windows, the staircase leading up, or the area behind the C-shaped bar, booths have been built directly into the rich, seasoned oak of the Thirsty Trout walls.
Each of these booths is more of a cocoon of wooden warmth, lined by velvet cushions of a deep blue. Instead of merely just a place to eat a meal and talk, the booths are literally carved from wood, with unique tables settled inbetween two high backed bench-liked structures that curve upwards to the ceiling. The outline of the two seats as they face each other is roughly oval shape, but each booth has its own small variation to create a uniqueness to each spot. To add to this uniqueness, designs have been painted on each of the wood frames, each depicting something different. Some are just flower designs, while others pay tribute to each of the six Houses in the form of their emblems. In total, there are about fifteen booths surrounding the room.
The bar is one of the central parts of the room, situated at the back wall, opposing the door. Here is where the majority of patrons tend to lurk to exchange gossip and catch up on the evening news. A wide variety of ales, meads and wines are lined up on the shelves, within easy reading distance so everyone is aware of what is available. Some of these wines are quite rare, and displayed with pride. The rest of the spacious room is filled with tables, scattered at different distances, with enough room inbetween to allow for people to easily walk through.
High within the rafters of the tavern, bolts of dark blue velvet hung to match the velvet cushions that have been spread through the booths.
The last adornment of the Thirsty Trout is a tapestry hung over the bar, which is flanked by shelves. This tapestry is paying homage to House Lomasa, the stampeding bull, while a silent hawk wings its way above, steady and sharp-eyed.

Voreyn Zahir has arrived.

Subhan Lomasa has arrived.

"I imagine a good many Taverns are Lomasa-owned," Seval mutters quietly, mainly to himself.

Voreyn pauses just inside the door, blinking a bit in the dim lighting. She gestures to a serving girl before winding to the left and placing herself behind a chair at an abandoned round table. "Will this do? I do not sit at bars," she explains briefly before pulling out her seat and waiting for the others to take theirs. In the meantime, she directs the serving girl off with a firm order of "Tea for three, please". Her gaze turns to Subhan, and her smile widens. "I must agree with His Grace that it would not surprise me to know that most of the best taverns -are- Lomasa-owned. I have not met Lady Dianna, or I would have told her myself. Please do convey to her my compliments on her establishment and her tea."

"I do not like to sit at bars myself." Subhan offers in acquiescence to Voreyn's choice of seating arrangement, her own chair pulled out by Phillip before she has the chance to do so herself. She sits, hands coming to rest, clasped, upon her lap. Her returning smile never seems to go beyond faint, though it could easily be assumed whatever illness she suffers from is making it difficult to be more lively, "I know of Dianna's desire to own more establishments such as the trout, so I shouldn't think t'is an assumption which is remiss." A gracious nod follows to Voreyn, "She'll be pleased to hear of your praise."

Trinsa Kahar has arrived.

Seval Mikin also takes a seat at the aforementioned table. If he has a problem with it he doesn't let on. "I'm not one for bars, either." His eyes then rest up Phillip and he seems curious as to Subhan's apparent frailty. He remembers himself and smiles, "I believe I've read about the Castle of Hours. Who is the steward, Lady Lomasa?"

Voreyn seems pleased with the arrangement, and settles herself down at the table as well. She follows Seval's gaze to Phillip, nose wrinkling in curiosity, but turns her attention back to the conversation immediately. She allows the others to talk uninterrupted, leaning back in her chair with a sigh and attempting to relax. She reaches up to fiddle idly with her onyx pendant fitted with a camea of a raven.

The three - Seval, Voreyn, and Subhan - are seated at a table to the left of the door, waiting for their tea. Phillip, Subhan's servant, hovers nearby watching over the Lomasa carefully.

"Father most recently gave the Castle of Hours to Dianna, though as she's gotten quite busy in recent times, it is often left to me to attend to matters there." Subhan replies to Seval, "Though I'm sure now that my brother has joined the House Guard and is stationed at the Castle, he shall take over matters when I am unable to see to them."

Enter one Trinsa Kahar. The young woman glances around for a quick moment searching for someone. Not finding said person a small shrug is given and she makes her way towards the bar.

"I see," Seval replies thinking for a moment. "How old is your brother? I'm constantly on the look for marriage potential for my sweet daughters."

Voreyn blinks rapidly, turning to stare at Seval for a moment before glancing away hastily. She instead spots the serving girl arriving with the tray of tea things - three cups and a kettle to sit in the center of the table. "Thank you," she murmurs, accepting her drink carefully and lifting it to her lips for a sip, admiring the aromatic tea in silence while watching the newcomer search the tavern.

"Twenty-three, Your Grace, though if you will pardon the suggestion, I do not think Corriden would be a good match. I would suggest instead my other brothers Arturo, Lanar and Galvano instead." Responds Subhan, just the faintest hint of a fond smile at the thought of her troublesome sibling.

"Hmmm.. I do suppose none of the Nillu are about?" Trinsa asks the barman absently. A small sigh escapes her and she tries to brush her locks out of her eyes. "I will have a spot of red wine then." She requests finally.

"Oh?" the Mikin replies, his brow raising as he leans back in his chair. He looks toward the serving girl as she places down his cup and fills it. He smiles warmly toward her, "Thank you, child." He takes a sip of the tea as he crosses his legs underneath his robes. Seval looks toward Trinsa at the bar idly.

"Four brothers!" Voreyn murmurs, flashing an amused smile at Subhan; "I am exceedingly jealous of you, Lady Lomasa, for having the joys of -four- brothers growing up. I have but one, and he has been dear to me. Still, I would like to not have had to share him so much with my younger sister. I could have enjoyed another brother. Your family's size would put my parents to shame." Her subsequent chuckle is obscured by her cup as she lifts it for another sip of tea.

"Thank you, Katrynn." Subhan murmurs to the serving girl before nodding to Seval. Her own tea cup is taken, though for now she merely holds it in her hands, enjoying the radiating warmth the cup provides, "Corriden does not take well to responsibility. In part he has been stationed at the Castle of Hours so that I may curb some of his behavior, though it is also so that Dianna will know there is family to watch over me in turn.." There is a small degree of life and joy that comes to Subhan's smile as she looks to Voreyn, another small nod in the offering, "I've three sisters as well. Corriden and I are the middle children."

Goblet of wine in hand, Trinsa glances back at the room looking for a table. A small smile comes to her lips as she spots Subhan and she starts in that direction. The young Kahar quickly pulls off her foppish hat and tucks it under her arm.

Seval Mikin's eyes sadden as he takes another sip of tea. "Light Keep your father. He must be a strong man to father so many children."

Voreyn leans forward as Subhan speaks, obviously interested in the subject. "By the Light - eight children?! It's a wonder your mother didn't lose all of her hair; thank goodness for nurserymaids, but even still... Well and so, four brothers - Corriden, Arturo--ah, ummm--oh! And Galvano and Lanar, right? And there is you, a middle child and daughter. May I inquire after your sister's names? I am drawing a family tree in my head as we speak." She lets out a light laugh, a little burble of mirth, and glances sideways at Seval. "It appears, Your Grace, that her family has many fine young men to offer to your daughters."

"Thank you, Your Grace." Subhan murmurs, Voreyn's inquiries stealing away her attention. She gives a light shake of her head, smile, while still faint, remaining rather than fading this time, "I do not mind. There is Dianna, whom is younger than I, while Doreen and Mythrae are both older." Distracted as she is of this talk of her family, Subhan doesn't take note of Trinsa's approach.

"Why hello there Lady Subhan, made it out this far did you?" Trinsa offers the woman a smile. The woman takes a quick sip of her wine before she does a small curtsey for the other two. "Good evening my lord and lady." She murmurs.

"Evening," Seval says looking toward the new arrival. He takes another sip of his tea. He doesn't seem to be to impressed with the interruption.

Voreyn, too, is a bit put off by the interruption, and she offers Subhan a fleeting smile before sitting back in her chair. She takes another sip of tea from her cup before turning her attention to Seval and starting their own conversation. "You mentioned having daughters, Your Grace. I am curious as to how many, their names, and their ages."

Subhan Lomasa is by far too polite and understanding to be put off by Trinsa's interruption, a small smile offered alongside a nod, "T'was a very long, slow ride, yes, but I have made it this far out." There is a light frown though, for the Baroness isn't oblivious to the displeasure of the other two.

"Hmm a bit pale, but I am sure you will be just fine. Found yourself a proper horse after all?" The Kahar asks, her gaze slowly swinging over to the other two. "Hmm pardon me, but it is not often I see a friendly face on the road. Do forgive my bad manners, I am Baroness Trinsa Kahar." She summons her best smile to direct at them.

"Baroness?" Seval seems surprised. "I mean.. Pleasure to meet you Baroness Kahar. I am Patron Seval Mikin of the River District." He smiles at her politely. He then looks toward Voreyn and purses his lips slightly and widens his eyes hoping she's thinking the same thing. After clearing his throat he leans onto his armrest, toward Voreyn. "I have a pair of twin daughters who are 20 years old. Their names are Elest and Dalia. I had a boy but he died many years ago."

Kensington has arrived.

Voreyn offers Trinsa a polite smile and a nod of her head. "A pleasure, my Lady," she murmurs in greeting before turning back to Seval. She catches his glance and her smile deepens in response, which she then buries in her cup of tea to keep herself from laughing. And then: "Twins! Oh, a rarity they; and what beautiful names - Dalia and Elest. I imagine they are just as beautiful as their names," she replies after taking a sip, setting her cup down and leaning forward as she clasps her hands together in her lap. "Light's blessing upon your son, Your Grace. I am so very sorry to hear it."

The quartet are at a table to the left of the entrance, conversing, though there seems to be two separate conversations happening, diving the table.

"That is very saddening to hear, Your Grace." Subhan offers to Seval, the gentle furrow upon her brow remaining ever-present for the time being. A light shake of her head is offered to Trinsa, "I took one of the elderly steeds, no longer suited to travel at more than a relaxed trot. Still, t'is not quite the same as having one which belongs to you alone, with which you're greatly familiar." Finally she takes a sip of her tea, the gentle flavor unnoticed in her worry.

"A pleasure your grace, your lady." Trinsa smiles and drinks from her cup. "We will need to see about one of my stock. You were bringing your brother were you not?" The young Kahar chuckles softly at this. "I understand it that this is a Lomasa tavern in Nillu land yes?"

From outside there was the cry of a steed, then hard boots hitting wood. For a moment it was silent, then, the dark dressed and hooded figure made her way into the Trout. Those used to battle, would clearly notice the limp this individual was trying to hide, out of pride...or shame..who knows. The person moved to the bar and climbed up onto a stool with a grunt, left hand on her thigh, leaning forward. From a pocket came a small leather pouch, almost empty by the sounds of it, before they moved to grab what ever bottle of aged alcohol was in front of them, apparently payment. The person said nothing, moving to head back for the door, as if nothing had happened. Those with very keen senses might notice the occasional droplets of dark red on the floor behind her.

Seval Mikin dons a sad smile at the kind words of the women but doesn't delve deeper into the subject of his son. Instead, he nods toward Voreyn, "They are beautiful, but I'm a bit biased I suppose. Twins are a rarity but I suppose it runs in my family. I'm a twin myself." The aging priestly man doesn't seem to be concerned with the new arrival to the tavern except for a furl of his brow and queer gaze.

Voreyn is too busy making conversation and pointedly avoiding catching sight of Trinsa's - gasp - /trousers/ to pay much attention to the comings and goings of other tavern patrons. She shifts in her chair, crossing her legs at the ankles and nodding to Seval thoughtfully. "I have heard that twins will show up in families more often than not. Sometimes I wonder how they ever began, but... Nevertheless, you and your wife must feel quite blessed to have them. My father never ceases to praise my younger sister for all of her talents."

"Yes, I shall be bringing Corriden when I come to peruse your stock." Subhan confirms to Trinsa, dipping her chin with a small nod, just a small glance spared towards Kensington which leaves the finer details unnoticed.

[Skill System] Trinsa Kahar tests her Perception + Sight at a modifier of 0. The result is 9.

"That might be pleasant day. Do try to keep him a bit sober." Trinsa gives the Lomasa a playful wink. She gives a small chuckle that she tries to hide by looking away from the group and towards the newcomer. A brow goes up slowly as she spots the crimson drops. "Pardon me for one second please." She murmurs before heading towards the new comer. "Excuse me.. are you quite alright?"

The girl had gotten almost to the door when she was approached. She tensed up visibly, her right arm griping the door tightly. She turned her head, keeping it hooded, with her raspy voice she ashed "H..how may i help you?" she seemed more than a little nervous.

Dianna Lomasa has arrived.

"They bring me only joy," Seval replies with his honey-sweet voice and a warm smile. He seems a little relieved when the Baroness Kahar leaves the table but as she approaches the hooded figure he cocks his head back. "What is she.. doing?"

Norran Lomasa has arrived.

"A woman in trousers, Your Grace, is a reckless one. I can only deduce that she is doing something reckless," Voreyn replies to Seval, watching as Trinsa steps away from the table to approach Kensington. She sighs and shakes her head, glancing back to the Mikin and offering him a warm smile in return. "The idea alone just makes me blush, and I--oh, Light." Reaching up, the Zahir presses her gloved fingers against her flushed cheeks to cool them down as quickly as possible. It doesn't work well.

"Lady Lomasa, you must promise to introduce me to your sister, the Lady Dianna, as soon as it is possible. I really must compliment her on the tea and the lovely atmosphere of this her tavern."

Scenepose: Subhan, Voreyn, and Seval are at a table to the left of the door. Kensington is about ready to leave, and Trinsa is flagging her down to find out--something top secret.

Into the Thirsty Trout strides a tired looking young woman, rumbled from riding all day. Dianna pauses just inside the door to do a quick headcount and looking satisfied, walks in the direction of the bar, pushing back a brown traveling cloak. At her heels, as always, is Arlus.

Subhan Lomasa flushes her own shade of red, quite likely with embarrassment over something or other. A only partially effective, calming moment is taken to sip at her tea before she gives Voreyn a shaky nod, quietly responding, "Of course Lady Zahir. I would be pleased to introduce you to Dianna as soon as I am permitted." Speak of the devil! Still, Subhan hasn't noticed her yet.

Not long behind her is one Norran Lomasa, seeming to be in high spirits as he removes his cloak and stows it away in the room by the entrance. He takes notice of Arlus and Dianna, a playful smile tugging at his lips as he walks to catch up and greet them. "Dianna! I haven't seen you in forever, it seems. And Arlus! You must've had one hell of a hangover after her brot- I mean, those bandits smashed that keg on your head."

"Are you quite alright?" Trinsa asks as her brow arches high. "I very much doubt the serving girls will enjoy cleaning up after your little trail.. though I must say the crimson does make the room.. pop in a quaint seedy sort of way." She offers the hooded figure a sardonic smile.

The hooded figure just nodded slightly moving to back out, her back/shoulder likely 'bumping' Dia rather hard. The figure clearly wanting to leave. Voice raspy, /almost/ unfamiliar to those who knew her "Yes Miss. Ill take my pains elsewhere..." she gripped the bottle of brandy tight as she began to try to make her exit.

Dianna Lomasa turns as someone speaks her name and blinks at Norran, offering a faint smile. "Oh, Norran," she greets. "I have been hearing interesting things about you of late," she muses. She holds out a hand in greeting of the other Lomasa but before she can say more, the hooded figure knocks the little Duchess right off her feet.

With a loud snarl, Arlus moves forward to intercept the aggressor, blade already half-drawn from his scabbard.

"She seems the reckless type, I agree," Seval replies coolly, with a smirk. His eyes follow the trousered one as the hooded one evades her. He doesn't seem impressed as a ruckus begins to emerge. "I hope I don't regret sending the 'Scourge home for the day."

"Oh goodness, what /is/ going on?" Voreyn mutters, jumping in her seat as she spies the little fiasco going on near the door. Her hand flutters up to rest on the pendant at her throat, and she squints at the little interloper causing the mess. "I rather hope you don't regret it either, Your Grace. I do hate it when the rabble get 'roused. Some of them can be so melodramatic about their lives." She purses her lips into a thin, disapproving line, as if perhaps she were offended by someone passing wind instead of knocking people over and bleeding onto the tavern floor. Not one to be entirely too disturbed by events, the Zahir reaches out with her free hand to pluck up her cup and take a sip of tea.

Once there is the bump Trinsa is quick to take a few quick steps back. "Yes, I do think that might be a good idea.." She murmurs as she motions towards the naked blade. "My grace.. would you be so kind as to call your man off? I am sure I can handle this little creature myself. Seems mostly harmless." The young Kahar seems to be trying to take everything into account and make some sort of plan.

The girl fell back, as the weapon drew it self out, she hit the floor, twisting her wrist and drawing a blade from her boot, clearly as if afraid of the attacker. As she landed the hood fell back, the girls face cut and marred, as if she had been thrown through the brambles over and over. Eyes darting from side to side she gripped that little knife for dear life, as if ..somehow...knife beat sword.

Perhaps it would have been best if Subhan /had/ stayed home the way all this excitement has suddenly cropped up. Violet eyes shift warily towards the commotion and shaking hands grow all the worse to the point where clumsily, she drops her tea cup and it shatters upon the floor with a sharp noise, "Oh- Oh my." She murmurs, the embarrassed red of her cheeks flushing deeper. She wavers in her chair, eyes closing tightly as though she's trying her damnedest to remain conscious.

Phillip, the silent sentinal behind her, had taken notice of Dianna and Arlus. However, he sees no need yet to step in and aid Arlus, instead remaining at the ready to ensure his Lady doesn't fall from her chair.

"That's pretty interesting, as I haven't really done anything. Not until you give me orders, My Duchess," innocently singsongs Norran to Dianna, /especially/ the last two words. As the figure bumps into Dianna, Norran watches curiously as various others step in to surround it. He doesn't intervene himself, quietly placing himself between the figure and Dianna.

As the girl draws her knife in defense, Norran's brows raise as he attempts to interject ahead of the chaos likely to follow, "Stay calm and put that knife away, Mistress. I am an officer of the Lomasa house guard, and if you move to attack /anyone/ unprovoked, I'll have your hand severed from your wrist before you can blink."

Dianna Lomasa lays on the floor for a second, just blinking as she tries to recall how exactly she got there. She sits herself upright, rubbing at one shoulder that took most of her weight in the fall. "What in the...?" she begins, trying to peer around Norran's legs to the commotion. Finally getting a good look at Kensington's face, and the amount of steel that has suddenly been drawn, her voice thunders out loud and strong, stopping most conversation mid-word. "Enough. All parties will return steel to their scabbards or they will find themselves missing important body parts." She daintily makes her way back to her feet, brushing off some of the dust on her skirt and faces the group. "I will have no further fighting within my establishment."

"Ah, the Duchess," Seval notices with a whisper. He watches her climb to her feet. "I'm not sure now's a good time to compliment her on the lovely atmosphere, Lady Zahir." The Mikin takes another sip of his tea.

Voreyn offers an unladylike snort of laughter, nearly choking on her tea. She glances sideways at Seval, and the corners of her eyes crinkle with mirth at the Patron's very dry sense of humor. She pulls a handkerchief from a hidden pocket in her skirt and presses it to her mouth, coughing into it delicately until she has expelled all of the tea from her lungs. "Yes of course, Your Grace," she croaks in reply before clearing her throat. "Or maybe it is the perfect time."

The girl whimpered slightly, lowering her head in shame, the blade falling from her hand as she moved it to hide the marks upon her. She moved to stand, clear intent was her hasty escape from the situation.

"My... but isn't this but a shame." Trinsa murmurs absently. The young Kahar eyes Norran for a few moments before she looks down at the hooded figure. "Now now there little one, perhaps you should run off while the Losama swords man is distracted by the drink specials." She offers a kind smile but makes a shooing gesture none the less.

Well, that situation has taken care of itself. He turns to take note of Voreyn, walking to approach her and Seval and bowing his head in greeting. "Light's Greetings to you both - sorry for the mess, rare that it happens. Your Grace, My Lady - ... you look somewhat familiar, actually. I know I saw you arrive in the Aerie, but I think I saw you before that..." trails off Norran, before smiling toward Voreyn. "Right. My name is Norran Lomasa, of East Leg. Soon to be part of the Guard."

Oh and now Dianna's raising her voice. To think, Subhan could have had a nice quiet evening at home with her dear, sweet, drunk brother Corriden and seen much less excitement. Why it would have been positively passive. She curls her shoulders in a bit, one hand raising to feel the heat of her brow.

With a concerned frown, Phillip boldens enough to ask a small favour of the two seated with his Lady, "Excuse me, Your Grace, My Lady Zahir. I would beg forgiveness for being so bold, but I would be eternally grateful if, for just a moment, you would watch My Lady Lomassa. I have need to go prepare her tonic and it seems too many are distracted by this commotion to be pulled away and trusted to prepare it properly." While Phillip is generally a cheerful, chirping lad, it seems he does have it in him to be serious when the need arises.

"Plant your feet, girl," Dianna snaps in Kensington's direction. "Arlus, if you please." Her guard steps in front of the door, blade in his hand, pointing toward the floor. His eyes are narrowed, just daring anyone to try and leave without his Lady's permission.

The Duchess sweeps her gaze through the tavern once again, one hand still cradling her shoulder, before returning to the scene. "Lady Kahar," she voices quietly. "Perhaps you could enlighten me as to why there is a bleeding woman in my tavern and why in the name of all that is touched by Light people are chasing her?"

The girl looked shamed, tucking the knife into her boot and making a quick crawl for the door, a slight smear of blood where her leg had been resting. If any desired to stop her, it wouldn't be hard, but they would need to act fast.

Seval Mikin seems pleased with Voreyn Zahir's laughing and pats her back lightly, hoping she doesn't choke. As Phillip asks after his beautiful Lady, Seval volunteers, "Go, my son. I will watch over the Lady Subhan with Lady Voreyn." Seval inches his chair closer to Lady Lomasa and peers into her eyes, "Are you alright, my child?"

As Norran approaches Seval glances toward him, "Ah, Lord Lomasa. Hello again, my son."

"Your grace." Trinsa murmurs as she makes a small curtsy towards the Lomasa. "I saw a trail of blood and it ended with this young creature. Father said the height of nobility was compassion for our charges.. and while I doubt she is from Kahar lands.. I was going to offer a spot of help. That and I was hoping to keep your lovely floors from staining with much more blood. She got started, bumped into your person.. and then came the blades. Your House Guard are quite.. efficient." A glance is directed at the robed figure. "It would be in your best interest to listen to her small one."

Voreyn dabs at her lips with her handkerchief before glancing up at the man addressing her. It takes her a moment to puzzle through her post-choking fog, but then she offers Norran a very cheerful smile and her unoccupied hand in greeting. "My Lord Norran Lomasa, of course. Voreyn Zahir of Fanghill - Count Noryn Zahir's daughter. I recognized you as well, although it has been perhaps two years now. The last we met it was--hmm, at that ball hosted by a Seamel family? My mother's cousin. We shared a dance. I was just telling His Grace about that not too long ago. It is wonderful to see you again, and I hope that all is well with you and your family."

Kensington sighed staring down at the guard's boots, and just slumped against the wall defeated, nodding slightly. "Very well..." she bit the cork from the bottle, eueing her leg" I need to go outside....Less the Lady wants her floor bloodied..."

"Thank you kindly, Your Grace." Phillip breathes with some relief before quickly darting off and making his way into the kitchens.

With a deeply furrowed brow hanging over her violet gaze, Subhan looks up at Seval's inquiry, the sickly woman looking rather like a frightened rabbit trying to escape the jaws of what's hunting it, "I-. Oh. T'is too much f-for me, Your Grace." A worrying noise escapes the back of her throat.

Dianna Lomasa nods in Trinsa's direction, a frown on her face. "Arlus, please help the Mistress outside," she says with a sigh. "My thanks for your help, Lady Kahar." Her gaze darts about the room, finally spying Subhan, before she starts off toward the door.

The girl whimpers and as the ability to do so is made to her, she slides out the door slowly, slight red smear under her leg as she exits.

Kensington has left.

Dianna Lomasa has left.

"Well... perhaps I should go and see what all the shadow damn reasons are behind this." Trinsa murmurs to herself as she follows the others out.

"Of course! Of course. I barely recognized you without all the regalia, but I think you look better without so many...complications, My Lady," answers Norran, glancing at the pro-offered hand as if unsure what to do with it, before reaching to give it a brief, gentle shake in greeting. He glances as the others file out. "One perturbed freelander and they all leave. A shame. Would you two mind it terribly if I sat with you?"

Trinsa Kahar has left.

Seval Mikin quietly notes Norran's reluctance to kiss Voreyn's hand and nods to himself. He smiles and nods, "Have a seat. We're enjoying the fine tea." The priest shoots Subhan a gentle half-smile, "Don't you worry, my sweet child. The Baroness and her friend have left."

When Norran merely shakes her hand, Voreyn spares a glance to Seval to see if he is watching. "gOf course, my Lord, there is an open chair and tea left in the pot if you would like a cup. As for the perturbed Freelander, I would say she is more like a feral dog. And she was bleeding all over the floor; I do despise the smell of blood. Please, have a seat."

Phillip soon returns with the aforementioned tonic of herbs mixed in with just a bit of watered down wine, the man kneeling at Subhan's side, offers it. He keeps a steadying hand upon the goblet, however.

Yet again the nod Subhan offers, to Seval, is shakey, trembling hands testament to the need for Phillip's aid as the clasp around the offered goblet and raise it to her lips. A sip is taken, the brew to be slowly consumed over the next few minutes.

Dianna Lomasa has arrived.

If there's any subtext, Norran is blissfully unaware. He takes his seat, none-the-wiser. "Bleeding all over the floor? How rude. We should make her pay her tab for that," answers Norran, his tone only half-joking as he looks between Seval and Voreyn. "So, what brings you here, Lady Zahir? Hawk's Aerie has become quite the spot lately. I've seen a member of every house in town in the last few days, rare. Especially those Kahars."

From outside, there is a voice pleading loudly, followed by a loud scream.

Dianna Lomasa has left.

Seval Mikin watches carefully as Subhan consumes her tonic, looking a little concerned for the poor girl. Seval then looks toward the door when there's a scream. His brow furls and he stands to his feet. "I wonder what has happened," he says finally.

Voreyn's amusement and general good humor seems to fade as the scream pierces the once lovely atmosphere of the Thirsty Trout. "You know, Your Grace, I am afraid I have spoken too soon; either that, or my good opinion has forever doomed this poor tavern," she offers quietly to Seval, frowning as her gaze focuses on the door. She appears to be waiting to see if it will open suddenly. Shaking her head, Voreyn turns her attention back to Norran and clears her throat before addressing him: "Fetching tea. I like the tea served here at the Trout, and I purchase my own supply every few weeks. I decided to make the trip myself today, because I do enjoy getting out."

"That's good to hear. You should definitely get out more if you enjoy it, I certainly enjoy traveling. There are many interesting parts of Fastheld and tea is just one of them - oh dear," sighs Norran at the scream, rising from his chair and bowing apologetically. "I'll be right back. So very sorry. I insist it doesn't happen this often! Or at all, this is the only night I've seen it. I'll tell them to quiet down, a moment if you both would." He then makes his way as quickly as he can for the door, giving a wave to Subhan as he passes.

It's by grace of Phillip's grip upon the goblet that this, much like her teacup earlier which has been mysteriously cleaned up, too isn't dropped, the Baroness' timidity really quite evident if it weren't already. She flinches quite visibly, a startled squeak all the sound she can manage before violet eyes roll back and she slumps forward. Thankfully it is something Phillip is prepared for, having been her guard and servant for the entirety of his life, his free arm reaching out to catch the sickly woman.

"Yes, perhaps you should go to see what is happening out there. The Duchess must be kept safe," Seval replies gesturing toward the door. The Mikin looks down toward Subhan as she slumps forward and then toward Voreyn. He waits a moment and then sit, taking his tea back into his hands.

Voreyn nods to Norran as he departs, turning back to Subhan just in time to watch the woman shudder and fall forward in a sudden fainting fit. "By the Light!" she exclaims, reaching up to touch her throat with her fingertips as if to push her heart back down into her chest. "Well, at this point the only thing left that hasn't been covered is a large building going up in flames - preferably an orphanage, just to give it that very nice touch of hysteria." She swallows visibly and glances away so as not to stare at Subhan's slumped form. Her free hand reaches out to scoop up her cup of tea, only to find it empty. Pausing, she lifts her gaze to meet Seval's silently, eyebrows rising upward as if to ask 'is this for real'.

Norran Lomasa has left.

Phillip, over his lifetime, has become in some respects like a personal nurse. The goblet is set aside first, and then he pulls Subhan's limp form a bit more upright, holding her in place. From his pocket his free hand retrieves a packet of smelling salts, of which he wafts beneath her nose, eliciting a gentle groan from the Baroness.

"Does she have a fever?" Seval asks his brow furling. He takes a sip of his tea before putting his cup down onto the table. He looks toward Voreyn as he wordlessly takes the tea kettle and begins to pour them another cup. He pauses for a moment, thinking on it. "It grows late. Do we have another cup of tea or chance it venturing out into the mean streers of The Aerie?"

Voreyn watches Seval for a moment before turning a wary eye on Phillip and Subhan. She places her hand over her cup quietly and nods toward the Lomasa's man. "I will venture out on my way, I think, but only if I can be completely assured of the Lady Lomasa's safety. Otherwise, if it is better wait for her to stir to consciousness fully, then I will partake of one more cup. What say you, Your Grace? I know little of fainting fits, but I do know I shan't leave a lady behind when she hasn't her wits about her and only one man to care for her."

"My Lady is a bit flush with warmth, yes, but this is common in such instances. If need be I'll have one of the rooms upstairs prepared so that she may lie down." Phillip assures of the pair, patiently keeping his place at Subhan's side.

The Baroness groans lightly once more, the smelling salts doing their work quite admirably. Violet eyes flutter open after but a few more minutes to take a slow glance around, shifting between Voreyn and Seval.

Seval Mikin puts the kettle down and stands. "Lady Lomasa, are you alright dear? You seem to be in good hands with your man here. It's been a pleasure making your acquaintance. I wish you well. Light Keep." He smiles warmly, but still looks concerned for the poor girl. The priest then looks toward Voreyn then, with a twinkle in his eye, "Lady Voreyn, it's been a pleasure sipping tea with you. I look forward to doing it again."

Voreyn listens quietly and offers Phillip a nod. Apparently the Lady's returning awareness and the servant's steadfast presence seem to be enough to appease the Zahir's somewhat superficial fears. She pushes her chair back and rises from her seat, reaching up to adjust her cloak pin while offering Seval a warm smile. "Your Grace, the pleasure has been mine. I do hope to see you again soon. Light keep you. Lady Lomasa, to you as well; I hope our next meeting will be as pleasant as this one. Do rest, and Light keep you."

"Oh." Subhan murmurs quietly, after a moment giving Seval a small nod, "I shall be fine, yes." A gentle smile follows, "Phillip has been attending to me since we were both quite young. I'm quite grateful for him." Voreyn too is offered a nod and a smile, "Light keep you as well, Lady Zahir. I look forward to when next we meet."

Phillip, why, seems he's got just a bit of a proud grin on his face.

Seval Mikin makes his exit without much drama to note.
