Location: Kathryn’s Landing <Fortrain> (January 21, 2013)

Participants: Narai, Thalia Kael

The Enlightenment, the TDX long range explorer ship, sits on the Landing Pad. The cargo bay doors are wide open, standing at the edge of the door is Narai, overseeing a cargo transfer. "Let's get this stuff onboard! We have more stops to make! More relics to find! More galaxies to see! Time is money!." He shouts.

"Ah, Mister Nara." says Thalia as she steps off a shuttle that's just landed. "Good to see you again." She wanders up to the Enlightenment, looking up at Narai for once instead of the other way around. "I believe we had business to discuss from earlier, yes?"

The Opodian turns to the woman, offering a polite nod. "Indeed, we have business to discuss." He replies, shouting some orders at a nearby worker then turning his attention to the woman. "Work, yes.. Hmmm... What are your qualifications?"

"I am sufficient in the psychic, psychokinetic, telekinetic, and telepathic schools of psioncs, as well as field medicine, first aid, surgery, and diagnosis of injuries. I am sufficiently skilled in the use of projectile and energy weapons, as well as the sciences of astronomy and biology." says Thalia quickly, her emotionless gaze studying Narai closely. "I can be a great asset both on and off the field of battle, and my processing power is above that of most other organic lifeforms."

"A psionic doctor, hmm?" Narai says, jokingly. "The Prominence, our flagship, has an extensive medical bay. However, I am more interested in your telepathic abilities. We haven o telepaths on board. It would be an asset in first contact situation."

"Ah, yes, well, my telepathic abilities are extensive and valuable. I can cause sleep, read thoughts, cause hallucinations so severe that they can actually bring harm to one's mind, mend the mind of a damaged individual, take away pain, and cause confusion." says Thalia, smiling faintly, "I am a very skilled telepath."

"And what would you the the going rate for a telepath would be these day?" Narai asks.

"That, Mister Narai, is negotiable." says Thalia, clasping her hands together behind her back. "However, I would say that due to the rarity of my abilities, 150,000 credits per week of work would suffice. I am, of course, comparing my rates to those of personal security, since that is the basic outline of my job description based on your words."

The Opodian chuckles. "With all due respect, madame. I could just as easily go through the rift and get a dozen Mekke telepaths for that rate." He replies. "We would not be using you as personal security. You would be used for first contact and medical duties." He pauses, thinking. "For that rate, I think we would be prepared to use you on a case-by-case basis, based on our crew needs and the assignment. Up to 300,000 per assignment. How is that sound? That would let you go and work out of other establishments and get money from them too."

"That is reasonable." responds Thalia after a bit of thinking. "When shall I start?" Really nothing else to do but sit and twiddle her thumbs while she waits for an answer (not that she'd ever be unsophisticated enough to actually do that).

"I need to get back to my command ship, and check what our schedule is like and what upcoming missions we have. Once I know, I'll be in contact to make arrangements. Is that satisfactory?" Narai replies.

"Indeed it is. Thank you for your business, Mister Narai." says Thalia, giving a cordial smile. She then proceeds to turn around and head back toward the shuttles with a purposeful stride.
