A world beneath the waves

Maina is in her usual spot on the beach, sitting and watching the water.

Vessa Harden is running, today it is not a jog though. Deciding that she needs to work on speed she has picked a place to do speed drills and makes a couple of lines in the sand in order to run back and forth between them and making sure to touch each line before turning around and running to the opposite one.

Maina glances back at the sound of running, pursing her lips a little.

Vessa Harden pauses after a set of twenty of these runs in order to take a break and seems to be pondering the next set of workouts. That and to catch her breath. She has not yet noticed Maina, mostly because she is so involved in her workout that she doesn't notice much of anything at the moment.

Maina shakes her head a little, looking back to the water.

Vessa Harden after catching her breath she nods and starts some pushups, alternating clapping ones for regular ones. After a set of those she seems rather satisfied and looks around for something to hold her feet. It is then that she sees Maina. Jogging over she waves to her with a smile, "Hey, didn't see you there. How have you been?"

Maina glances back to Vessa, "Okay, I suppose. Back to working out excessively?"

Vessa Harden looks surprised then over at where she was training then back, "Excessively? How so, is just a warm up."

Maina rolls her eyes, "That's what I mean. That was far too intense for a warm up. But whatever. How are you?"

Vessa Harden blinks in surprise, "Really?" then shakes the thought from her head and smiles, "Great actually, since getting the a-okay to train again I have been getting plenty of sleep and had an incredible dive. We found this huge gunboat down there, it was fantastic!"

Maina nods a little, "I saw it. I went down to get an ID off it. The CRV Harop or something, I forget. It's on my PDA."

Vessa Harden looks excited, "Is that the name? One of those skeletons nearly gave me a heart attack though. I was not expecting to come face to face with it when I entered that room."

Maina nods a little, "Mhmmm. That fellow at the docks asked me to see if I can find where it's from. Going to research it."

"Wonderful! Would you let me know what you find? I have to admit I am getting more and more curious about what we are finding down there, that and it is just so much fun to dive." she nods happily.

Maina nods a little, "Sure, I can. I don't know why you think it's fun, though. It's horrible down there."

Vessa Harden looks surprised, "It is? The ship specifically or under the water in general?"

Maina shakes her head, "Underwater. It's horrid. It's cold, dark, quiet, alone."

Vessa Harden thinks a long moment on this, "Peaceful is what I like to think. Just floating there but not really alone. The fish and plant life is almost like a totally different world all it's own. The colors and the diversity is incredible. It is true that the deeper you go the colder and darker it gets, I don't think I could survive going too deep, the pressure alone would kill me, if I were able to get deep enough with the air I have. No plans on that kind of suicide though, I tend to like to stick to the warmer and brighter levels.

Maina nods a little, "I just didn't like it much. Might be better with company."

Vessa Harden nods with a grin, "I would be happy to go down with you at some point. I've made friends with the dive shop owner, great guy. He let me have a discount on tank rentals. Seems that most of the people who come in don't stick around to talk diving, zoom in then back out again." she shakes her head, "Gotta tell stories about your dives, that is half the fun. Anyway, he said he has some tanks that don't get asked for often that he has around so I can get hold of one pretty much whenever."

Maina nods a little, "That's good."

Vessa Harden looks over a bit, "Well, would you like to try a dive together? I found this really neat little sea-cave. More a sea-dimple actually, that has all these neat creatures in there. Oh and these reefs that are the most fantastic colors you can imagine, I even think they were glowing, that would make a great night dive."

Maina nods a little again, "We could, sure. I don't need air or anything."

Vessa Harden grins happily and points in that direction, "Wanna do it now then? I think he even has a mask with a mic so I can talk to you down there, er if your comm is waterproof anyway."

Maina sighs a little, stepping to her feet, "Sure. Let's try it."

Vessa Harden nods and heads off with a light step and a cheerful face.

Stretching for a little under ten miles as it wraps around the northeast edge of the island, this pink sand beach is not the perfectly-combed creation that make Mesomel's beaches famous. Everything from beach glass to shells to washed-up logs to strands of rotting seaweed litter the beach at times, though large swaths of beach near the city are being maintained by the residents. A few small fused sand buildings have been put together just back from the water, with some lived-in, and others just occupied from time to time. Small boats can be seen a little ways out in the warm, teal water for much of the day with Outversers either relaxing or fishing for their suppers. A fused sand path leads southeast to the Outverser settlement, and the beach continues to the west.

Maina arrives from Eastern Settlement. Maina has arrived.

Vessa Harden jogs happily into the dive shop and not long after returns dressed in a wet suit and carrying a tank, slung over her shoulder is a net bag with flippers and the special mask.

Maina giggles a little, "That looks hilarious."

Vessa Harden looks down at herself then up at Maina with a sardonic grin, "Not the height of fashion is it? Never fear though, I am sure it will catch on!" she chuckles and begins getting the gear in order, making certain that the tank is full of air, that everything works and that the mic is functioning properly, "Testing, testing." she speaks into it. "Did you hear that?"

Maina shifts her weight, "I don't actually have a comm. I don't like carrying stuff with me."

Vessa Harden looks thrown off for a moment, "Oh, hmm well I leave it up to you. We can go down and not have conversation if you like or I can borrow a comm from the shop." she looks at Maina questioningly.

Maina shifts her weight again, "Whatever you think is best, I guess? If they're waterproof."

Vessa Harden nods and sets down the gear before jogging back to the shop. A few minutes later she jogs back and hands over the comm to Maina, "That should do it. I will just return it with the rest of the gear when we get back." she grins and starts putting the gear on, setting the mask to hang until she is ready to jump off the dock.

Maina nods a little, shifting her weight. "Ready when you are, I guess."

Vessa Harden grins and nods popping the mask down she makes sure the air flow is appropriate and that there are no leaks. Waddling forward to the end of the dock in her flippers she turns backwards, after checking where she will land of course, and rolls back, landing with a splash. Moments later she disappears under the surface with a flicker of flippers.

Maina kind of blinks at this display. She simply hops down onto the surface, then slowly lets herself sink below.

Vessa Harden waves as she makes a slow decent and looks around, pointing a little to the left she says, "Over there is where I found the first group of items but we should probably head over to the right and head out a bit. The drills to the left disturb the water too much to really see much and the sea life hates it."

Maina nods a little, following Vessa's lead for now.

Vessa Harden grins as her decent completes and looks up and the top with the lovely sunlight pattern on the water before heading off to the right. A little while later they reach the "sea-dimple" she had mentioned and she points it out, "There has to be a whole commune of somethings in there, I have no idea what they are but the are gorgeous." the creatures she is talking about are an eclectic mix of critters, some long and sinuous in a riot of bright oranges and yellows. Others are many legged with their heads a deep purple that transitions from blue to a light green on their rounded, finned tails.

Maina tilts her head a little, giving a small smile to Vessa.

Vessa Harden watches the critters for a while then points to some fronds that wave in the tide, "And there, they seem to lay on this thing and roam around it all the time, I don't know if they eat it or what but the love the stuff. And those purple things seem to take care of it while the orange things take care of the purple things. It is crazy to watch." she then grins and points further, "That way are the reefs, there are fish everywhere and some big critters that look absolutely harmless, though I never get close enough to find out."

Maina nods a little, looking as each place is pointed out. She looks thoughtful.

Vessa Harden grins and with a wave to indicate direction, heads off to the reef. The swim isn't far but the reef seems to appear suddenly in an explosion of color with all the colors of a crayola box and more, some of these are part of the fish and other creatures that call the reef home, and some are part of the reef itself. On first look it seems like a colorful mountain who's walls move. It is only on closer inspection that you see oddly shaped fish, eels, and plant life that gives this illusion. Stopping at a distance Vessa pauses to take the view in.

Maina floats in next to Vessa, a little wide-eyed at the view. She smiles faintly.

Vessa Harden points makes a noise and points excitedly as she sees a movement, what she points to is a massive creature that looks like a giant shelled whale. Smaller ones hover near the large one looking like a mother with her young and whole schools of fish dart here and there between them, in the crevices between shell and skin, and even tucking in sometimes to take a ride. "The arrive every time I come down here at about the same time, three times a day, in the morning, about midday, and in the evening. It seems they have a giant loop they go on, they just hang here for a while, nibble on some of the plants on the reef, then swim off.

Maina gives a little nod, still silent. She watches the strange creatures.

Vessa Harden chuckles a bit, "You know, I asked about them at the dive shop. The guy hasn't come out this far though so didn't know. I wonder if I should take pictures at some point and look it up. I would be interested to know what these things are." she continues to watch until the giant creatures swim off after their meal then checks her tank before pointing onwards, "I haven't been past here yet but we could head that way and see what we see, onwards to adventure and all that."

Maina nods a little, indicating she's up for it. She moves to follow.

Vessa Harden grins and heads off. Swimming for some time she then stops as she sees a crevasse and points, "Hmm maybe a sea trench, lets check it out." so saying she heads that way until she reaches the edge, carefully landing on her knees she peers over the edge.

Maina frowns a little, but she follows. She looks a little less comfortable checking the trench out.

Vessa Harden quickly moves back away from the trench and with good reason it seems, a large tentacle follows. Flipping backwards she swims back the way she came with all speed before looking back. The creature the tentacle belongs to seeming to have lost interest. "Wow that things was weird, seems it already had a meal and was not too interested in desert, at least not yet. I suggest we move elsewhere." she eyes the trench and heads off away from the creatures location.

Maina doesn't follow right away, watching curiously. She follows Vessa after a few moments.

Vessa Harden takes another look at her indicator and motions the way the came, "Best to get back as I have yet to learn to grow gills." she grins, and begins to head back to the docks.

Maina bobs her head, moving to follow back towards the docks.

Vessa Harden pauses briefly at both the reef and the dimple before finally reaching the docks. Once there she slowly ascends and pulls herself up onto the wood.

Maina follows all the way. Once Vessa starts pulling herself out, Maina just fades out, appearing again on the dock itself.

Vessa Harden stands dripping and pulls off her mask with a wide grin. Removing her flippers and getting the gear all ready to be returned she fairly bounces with happiness, "That was fun," she pauses then looks over to Maina, "er I mean I enjoyed it. How did you like it?" as she asks she pauses in her work and seems to put all her attention on Maina's answer.

Maina offers the comm device, too. She gives a nod, "It was fun, I think." She smiles a little.

Vessa Harden takes the comm and smiles even wider, fairly glowing in her excitement. "Lemme just take this back to the shop, be back in a jiff." So saying she packs it all up and jogs back to the shop. It seems to take a bit for her to return dressed again, her expression a bit embarrassed. "Sorry, the shopkeep was rather interested in another diver, he said to stop on by at some point and exchange stories."

Maina nods a little, "Um... okay. I'm not much good at them, though."

Vessa Harden looks surprised, "Not good at stories?"

Maina nods a little.

Vessa Harden seems to think for a moment and looks around, "Gimmie a sec," with that she runs off and disappears around the corner then returns shortly after with a small cooler, "Okay, wanna go to the beach?" she asks, her cooler under her arm comfortably.

Maina blinks at this, "Um... okay?"

Vessa Harden nods and heads off.

About two dozen fifty gallon barrels have been lashed with ropes to a series of wooden pallets and anchored with large stones, giving the town a crude, flimsy dock. As it has a tendency to sway in the wind and shake when stepped-upon, it's hardly a permenent solution. A fused sand path leads towards town. Construction here is well underway. Massive pylons of a dark green alloy are stacked in neat pyramids at regular intervals along the beach, and drilling has begun to sink them into the bedrock of the lagoon. Piles of dark green scrap metal still abound, however, and are regularly fed into smelters and the alloy poured into molds. Off to one side of all this, it would appear construction has begun on a few buildings, as well as some stable canals that may possibly be for the convenience of shipwrights.

Surprisingly private for a hidey-hole so close to the surf, it blends in with its surroundings perfectly until one is just about on top of it. Small sea creatures sit or roam about patiently in the clear water, waiting for the tide to rise so they can be carried out to sea. One can easily rise from the water and re-enter the beach proper.

Maina steps in between two sandstone slabs, motioning to the tidal pool.

Vessa Harden makes a happy surprised sound and, setting down her cooler carefully, runs to the edge of the pool and lays on her stomach to watch the life within. "When did you find this place? It is incredible, and with the stones as well!" she props her chin on her hands, completely enraptured with the place.

Maina giggles a little, "I just spotted it out of the corner of my eye. It's pretty."

Vessa Harden nods in happy agreement before sitting up. Finding a comfortable spot to lean against one of the stones that will still afford a good view, she pulls the cooler over and pops it open. Taking out an amber bottle she pulls out a bottle opener and pops the top off, carefully putting the discarded bottle cap into the cooler, wouldn't want to litter in such a place. "I think this is a gorgeous place." she looks over once she settles, "So why do you think you are not good at stories?" she asks curiously.

Maina moves to sit by Vessa, giving a shrug. "I don't know. It's not something I've practiced, I guess."

Vessa Harden considers this as she takes a drink from her bottle, "I don't know that I am all that good at it myself or not but I just kind of tell it as I remember. Those who are interested in the subject matter of the story don't seem to mind the telling. What kinds of stories have you told?"

Maina makes a little face, "None, I don't think?"

Vessa Harden grins a bit crookedly, "Then how do you know if you tell a good story? Why not tell me one, that way you will know for sure if you tell a good one?" she settles a bit and takes another sip as she gets ready for a story.

Maina shifts her weight, "What kind of story?"

Vessa Harden shrugs with a smile, "Tell me about what you have been up to since you and Aka tag teamed me at the Tavern." she chuckles, "Which was rather mean by the way."

Maina wrinkles her nose, "It was necessary. Though I don't think it did any good."

Vessa Harden cocks her head curiously at Maina, "I have to admit, I just don't get it. Been doing this kind of thing for years and it has worked out well enough. This didn't start when I rifted here, it started years ago and has just become a way of life since then." she shrugs, "I am afraid that I take patience if you plan to see any changes."

Maina nods slowly, "Well, just because it's what you were doing doesn't mean it was the right thing to do."

Vessa Harden takes a long pull as she considers this, "Maybe you are right but as I never saw anything to show that the way I did things was wrong I didn't feel the need to change. That and I was simply too busy to bother noticing." she shrugs again, "Ah well, things have turned around again and all in all I am rather happy to be back to training. That is going away from the initial question though, so you went for a dive to the ship. How did you hear about it?

What else have you been busy with?"

Maina shrugs a little, "I heard about the diving from you. The ship is public knowledge, now. On the news and everything. Otherwise, I've been studying a weird plant to make some credits."

Vessa Harden pauses her hand with the bottle partway to her mouth as she looks curious, "Weird plant? Tell me about that if you would."

Maina nods a little, "It kind of looks like a big eel. It doesn't have any eyes, just a mouth and tongue. The outside has this kind of film or fluid. Things that contact the fluid, it goes to 'taste' with the tongue. If it's not edible, it then leaves them alone. A good while after the fact, there's a reaction between the fluid on the tongue and that on the outside, creating a rather tough bonding agent. I assume if it finds it edible, it applies more 'saliva' to cause the bonding reaction faster to immobilize the prey for digestion. The digestive fluid isn't very strong, so I imagine it's a slow process. Hence needing to immobalize it."

Vessa Harden nods looking fascinated her bottle hanging in her hand seemingly forgotten, "And this is a plant?" she asks incredulously, "I mean, does it have roots or leaves or anything?"

Maina nods a bit, "It's a plant. Has leaves, roots, photosynthesis. Just also carnivorous."

Vessa Harden shakes her head impressed, "Where did you find it? I mean I have heard of carnivorous plants before but with a mouth and tongue and all." she shakes her head again, "Wow."

Maina shakes her head, "I didn't find it. A friend did. I'm just analyzing it. Apparently it was found on, um... Materni Syni or something?"

Vessa Harden finishes the journey her hand had started before and takes another sip,. "So, looking at sunken ships and analyzing mysterious plants. Sounds rather busy indeed. Did you ever get a chance to ask that Dr. Hall guy if you could use his equipment?"

Maina nods a little, "I'm using it to analyze. I'm cloning the plants now, in fact!"

"Eh? Really? What do you plan to use the clone for? Do you think that chemical could be useful or is there something else about it?" Vessa takes another long pull and looks at the more than half empty bottle sadly. "This stuff is just too good," she mutters before looking back up at Maina.

Maina makes a face, "You know I don't drink. Please stop talking about how great it is?" She sighs, "Anyway, the client wants to know if the bonding agent is useful. They also want to know if it has any medicinal, toxic, or nutritional value. I can only do so much with the samples I have. Plus, I want to see how it behaves in person."

Vessa Harden looks up surprised, "Oh sorry, that was more to me then in general. I'll try and keep that internal dialog. So you will be heading off to this place to find one then? Did you want company? It sounds like there might be other interesting critters where this one came from."

Maina shakes her head, "I don't have to head off. I'm using the samples to clone my own. I don't even know where to start looking on that planet. Planets are big."

Vessa Harden nods looking thoughtful, "Yeah, but what fun to go exploring around there though. I mean just think of all the different things you could discover and as you said they are big. There must be lots of things no one has ever seen before."

Maina nods a little, "Probably true! I think it's a populated planet, though."

Vessa Harden ponders this as she finishes the bottle and puts it back in the cooler. "But there must be some parts of it open to explorations otherwise how would this new plant have come to light?" she begins to grin excitedly, "And not just that planet, there have to be so many out there that no one even knows about yet. If I ever get to buy my own ship and fly, that is what I want to do. To head out into the unknown and discover what no one has seen before."

Maina nods a little, "Dusk Corporation is supposed to be helping me learn to do just that."

Vessa Harden nods, "How is that going by the way? Have you asked anyone about getting a ship to be able to go explore?"

Maina shakes her head, "Haven't had a chance."

"The time will come but you sound busy all the same." Vessa smiles and watches the little critters in the tide pool for a moment, "The DMC is going on a training mission soon, sounds like the Boss wants to shake us down and make sure we can all function well before we head out." she says this quietly and rather thoughtfully.

Maina nods a little, frowning, "I see."

Vessa Harden looks a bit sad, "It should be a quick trip I would imagine. At least I hope so and there will be time after this trip to get ready for the big one. Then I can come back and tell you all about the places we see."

Maina smiles a little, "That'd be nice."

Vessa Harden thinks for a moment, "I wonder if I can record stuff on this PDA thing, that was I can make videos of the most amazing stuff or at least a picture. There is bound to be something exciting right?" she thinks another moment, "Maybe I will start a journal, I never spent much time on ships, just some short tours to help out the navy, so it will all be even more different then normal."

Maina smiles and nods a little, "Those sound like good ideas."

Vessa Harden grins and nods, "Then I will do that. At least that way you get the full story and I don't forget to share anything amazing. Though the journals will likely be boring as hell, I am not much of a writer, I can do reports and that is about it." she makes a face, "So they might be a bit dry." she leans her head back and sighs before seeming to come to a decision, "I have now seen one other planet though." she pauses, "REM had a mission I got called on, quite an interesting venture that."

Vessa Harden laughs and nods, "Point I suppose." she grins then leans back, her grin fading a bit, "Some mystic wanted something on B'Hira and we had to do security for him to go pick it up. At least that was what we knew. We land and then next thing you know we are being chased by a giant spider. We make it to a cave and take a break. While everyone else takes a nap I decided to keep watch and, get this, the client knocks me out with some psychic hoodoo. When we all wake up the guy is gone. We go looking and get some back up. Once we find the guy, after some giant snow worms and collapsing bridges, he is already dead and being eaten by some baby spiders with mom still popping them out. We get the item then hightail it out of there on a shuttle." she shakes her head, "What a ride."

Maina shudders, "That'shorrible!"

Vessa Harden shrugs, "The only thing I had any real problem with was being forced to go unconscious. The rest of it wasn't too bad. I mean I don't like giant spiders trying to eat me or anything but it turned out okay. Well for us, not the mystic."

Maina rolls her eyes, "That's ridiculous. Getting knocked unconscious is worse than risking your life?"

Vessa Harden looks a bit confused, "Life is a risk, I mean I could die of food poisoning or get run over by something. Add space into the mix an dyou then have something going wrong with the ship as an option. Maybe it flies into a sun or implodes or something. Point is that it was dangerous sure, but at least while I was aware I had the chance of doing something about my situation rather than laying on the floor senseless."

Maina makes a face at that, "Whatever."

Vessa Harden shrugs, "I can tell you though that B'Hira is not my favorite planet, too cold. Nothing but ice and snow." she shivers, "I much prefer warm thanks."

Maina nods a little, "I bet."

Vessa Harden opens up her cooler again and tries to decide what to take out, as she is contemplating this she asks, "What other planets have you been on? Anything fun or interesting?" she continues to ponder the coolers contents curiously.

Maina shrugs a little, "Here, Comorro, another space station... and Kamsho."

Vessa Harden looks up from her ponderings, "What was Kamsho like?"

Maina makes a face, "Rainy? Lots and lots of rainy?"

Vessa Harden looks sympathetic, "That is never fun. Wet when I don't want to be wet, diving for example, is not in the cards if I can avoid it. What did you do there?"

Maina eyes Vessa a bit, "That's where the sea creature is."

Vessa Harden leans back and nods, "Ohhh right, I had forgotten that is where it was. How is that going by the way, have you tried transporting it somewhere yet?"

Maina sighs, "I haven't heard anything new. Looks like it'll have to be killed."

Vessa Harden pauses a moment the looks confused, "Why? Isn't there another option beyond killing it? Sounds to me like it has all been property damage as no one has mentioned anyone dying from it."

Maina shakes her head, "It tries to eat fishing boats, with people on it."

"Oh, well that might be a problem then." Vessa goes back to looking inside the cooler but doesn't seem to be seeing what is in there, "What would your plan be to keep it alive but out of people's way so it is no longer a danger?" she asks still in thought it seems.

Maina shrugs, "I was hoping to have it moved, but that's a logistical nightmare."

Vessa Harden nods again as she continues to ponder, "Where would you move it to, if you could." she makes a blind grab into the cooler and pops open this bottle as well, this bottle is not the amber of the first but more of a bright yellow and could be anything from alcohol to sparklie juice, and takes a drink, not seeming to taste it either.

Maina shrugs a bit, "I don't know. I'd have to find a viable habitat."

Vessa Harden is quiet for a long moment before shrugging, "Then lets do that. Why don't we head off and look for a place, preferably on Kamsho, as we know it can live there, that is secluded, with plenty of fish, that it can live in without posing a danger to people." she nods to herself and takes another drink, again not seeming to notice it.

Maina sighs, "Because how do we move it? It's huge, Vessa."

Vessa Harden shrugs again, "How big is huge? Bigger than than fishing vessels it seems but is it the size of a battleship? Or the size of an aircraft carrier? Or the size of a small city? What are we talking about here because it can only be so big and not be starving to death anyway."

Maina shrugs a bit, "Big enough to eat fishing boats. So big."

Vessa Harden grins, "So anesthetize the thing then get some air ships to haul it where ever. Set up a frame to keep it from dying once you get it where it is going, until it wakes up. There is almost always a solution to a problem if you have the funds and the resources for it. That is where it might get sticky though, you would need some help to get this guy moved and knocked out."

Maina nods a little, "The funds and resources is the problem, Vessa."

Vessa Harden considers this as she continues to take sips, she is quiet for several moments before looking over at Maina, "Well, there are some ways to gain the funds but it is all dependant on time and how motivated you are. You can insist that this creature should be studied in a natural habitat as it is unique and might offer important information, you can say that it should be preserved for being the only one of it's kind, you can suggest that the creature might provide genetic or medicinal or chemical components that would be useful to the universe as a whole, or you can go out and gather the funds yourself and hire people to use their ships and manpower to knock it out and move it. It is all up to what you want to do."

Maina nods a little, "And most of those reasons are moot, since we could take a sample and clone it."

Vessa Harden makes a face, "Damn, well that blows most of my reasoning out of the water." she considers for a few more moments, "Even still, there might be those who are willing to help for humanitarian reasons if nothing else. Hell, I would help you move the thing if you needed me to. I could shoot the anesthetic dart into it and attach the lines. You just need to find a place, which I would also help you do, and get a ship to haul it over there." she shrugs, "And I wouldn't expect compensation, so there are those of us out there who would help." she finishes with another sip of whatever it is and continues to think.

Maina nods a little, "Maybe we'll find some way."

Vessa Harden seems to ponder a bit more before leaning back with a sigh and smiling down at the tide pool, which by this time is a little more full as the tide has come in as they chatted. New creatures fighting for space in their new home and others defending the areas that they have claimed as their own. The silence is suddenly interrupted by a beep, causes her to twitch a moment, "Oh right damn, forgot to finish my training earlier and start the second session." she mutters as she sets down the bottle and pulls out the beeping PDA.

Maina glances over towards Vessa, "Leaving, then?"

Vessa Harden looks up as she tucks the PDA away and shakes her head, "No need to, I will just do it before bed, whenever that happens to be. Better that way anyway. What I was going to say before this thing went off, was that yeah, we can find a way to save it. Maybe you can put out an advertisement telling it's story. That might draw people to it."

Maina nods a little, "Maybe we can. I'm not getting my hopes up."

Vessa Harden shrugs a moment before looking consideringly at the stones around them. Getting u p she measures the distance with her arms and then looks around crouching down and looking at the spaces under other stones and testing to see if her foot fits under. "Even still, do your best for what you believe in. If you think that the creature should be saved and you want to see that happen then go for it, do what you can. I will do what I can to help, all you ever need do is ask." she says as she begins pacing out the dry area that they are in.
