An auxiliary group under the direct command of Pyracan's Alpha, consisting of the Cosainn, the Fiach, the Fodhli, the Pyracan Engineering Corps and the Vaigin, they were created in 2072 by Alpha Bierk Aenorr in response to the growing issues of a one-world government and the need for flexibility in its management.

The Triad

Known colloquially as the Blood, the Brain and the Heart, these three combat-centric groups formed the core of the Pathfinders when they were introduced. Each has an extremely strict honor code, each ostensibly written by Aenorr to prevent the Council from having any reason to challenge the shaky legal ground upon which the Pathfinders were created.

Cosainn

The Blood: Fifty security professionals assigned as an Honor Guard to the Alpha, they are known for their flashy red and white armor and thin swords, as well as their fanatical devotion. Their symbol is a platinum disc with a blood red triangle, and a single white droplet within. When on parade duty, they wear polished heavy composite armor in blood red with white shoulderguards, kneepads, boots and gloves with gold trim, a white buckler with curved red rays attached to the left forearm, a long, thin gold-plated rapier with a blood red hilt, and a custom bloodmetal 12mm Longtooth battle rifle slung over the back.

Fiach

The Head: Thirty-six extradition agents that are highly trained in diplomacy, non-lethal capture and interstellar law and set against those who commit high crimes on Pyracan and then flee jurisdiction, so that the offenders might face justice. Their symbol is a platinum disc with a blood red triangle, and a white torch within.

Fodhli

The Heart: Sixty thousand part-time soldiers made up of five thousand from every one of the twelve nations, they serve as a reserve military force that can be deployed for a variety of tasks. Before 2340, this typically meant dealing with evacuation before natural disasters, keeping order immediately afterwards, and searching for survivors, and the occasional help with riots or large world events. After being introduced to the interstellar community, they have often served as security forces, as anti-terrorism agents, or in the Hiver War as an off-the-radar military or support force. Their symbol is a platinum disc with a blood red triangle, and two crossed white hotuk within.

Additions

Many changes occurred after 2340 when the Pyracani were discovered by the Hekayti, and in response to these changes, two more groups were added to the Pathfinders.

Pyracan Engineering Corps

Created in 2378, the Pyracan Engineering Corps were created to apply the great amount of additional building and engineering knowledge of the outside galaxy to projects on Pyracan. Made up of around sixteen thousand full- and part-time professionals, they use their skills to strengthen infrastructure, enhance security, quickly rebuild after natural or man-made disaster, and engages in a wide variety of other public works. Their symbol is a platinum disc with a blood red triangle, and a white hammer within.

Vaigin

Created in 2443 during the worst of Pyracan's economic depression as a volunteer corps of aid workers, they utilize superior offworlder logistics methods and technology to quickly get aid to those who need it most. In 2450, the government began to train and pay this group in an attempt to combat unemployment, and it has slowly built up into a quite large organization, boasting a membership of over fifty thousand, with over twenty thousand of them as paid workers. As the Pyracani are a proud people, this group has often clashed with local governments that wished to handle their own affairs, and since 2603 deploy by request only. Their symbol is a platinum disc with a blood red triangle, and a white mortar and pestle within.
