Who They Are
Arthur Earl Eastman a Vice Admiral in the Sivadian Royal Navy. He commands the HMS Repulse battlegroup..
Description
A rather athletic and nimble looking older man of apparent Sivadian ancestry. He is of medium height and has a compact wiry build. His white hair is cropped thin and fuzz short. His eyes twinkle with childlike mischief but the rest of his face speaks of deadly intent. He has broad shoulders and a thin waist. He wears a brilliant white short tabard with a black embroidered piley bendy pattern running down it, over a carefully tailored charcoal band collared shirt. He wears crisply pressed black dress trousers bloused over highly shined combat boots. Pinned on the left side of his collar is a silver X*X symbol and on the right is a small silver heron. A brilliant blue ceremonial sash issues forth from the embroidered cluster of three stars following the RNS crest that is sewn into his right shoulder board and runs across his chest to disappear into the hem of his tabard. Around his waist is an fancy black leather scabbard rig with a apparently Florentine setup. On his left hip is an odd looking pistol and on his right hip is a rapier.
Biography
1.Family: Many songs about British tars have been sung by Arthur Eastman's ancestors, mostly because they themselves were British tars. Arthur Eastman's Father was a harsh taskmaster and Art had seven siblings all of whom followed their father into the RNS. Arthur's twin brother, Jesse Earl Eastman, died in heroic service to the Crown. 2.Childhood - When Arthur was a pre-teen, and had yet to be sent to the RNS preparatory Academy, his father took his brother and him to the orbital shipyards. Both brothers were awed by the sights they saw. Jesse bet Arthur his holocomic collection that he'd command a capitol ship first. It was a childs bet but it was a bet BOTH brothers took seriously and that Arthur ended up winning due to the fact that Jesse died commanding a destroyer. 3.Education - Arthur's education falls into two categories. Home schooling and Academy Schooling. A) Until Arthur was eleven years old he was home schooled. He was educated by various tutors on a curriculum his father selected then tested at various intervals by his father himself. This was, supposedly, to prepare Arthur and his siblings for Academy rigors. Arthur's father was far more demanding on his children than ANY service school they'd attend following leaving his care. B) After leaving home as barely more than a child Arthur studied at the RNS Academy Preparatory and the Sivadian RNS Academy. In his second year at Preparatory he was late to Energy Weapons drill and was assigned to drill with the fencing master as punishment. He took to the sport like a Irishman to whiskey. Never to be left behind, Jesse joined him in his training and their sparring duels were epic. He received a standard RNS academy education but excelled at his classes, to the point where he graduated fifth in his class. Jesse was eighth. Jesse got a command first, it just wasn't a capitol ship.
PRESENT
Vice Admiral Arthur Earl Eastman is currently the Commanding Officer of the HMS Repulse battle group. This is his reward for a long and distinguished career. He has developed and honed his skills over a life time of service and now as enters his twlight years he can lead the coming generations to glory.
FUTURE GOALS
Arthur has never been married. He has been married to his job. He's had romantic interludes but his job always came first. He has enough neices and nephews that he's not deluded into thinking he has to carry on the family tradition. He's not soft in the head or heart he just wants someone to grow old with.
