Mikage Stepping Down

Svajone - In what has been dubbed an unexpected final address by the Svajone, its leader, Mikage, has announced that he is stepping down from leading the station."With due respect given to the time I have contributed to improving conditions here, I must concede that it is time for others to accept the mantle of responsibility for their own futures here." Mikage said. "My academic work shall remain, freely able to be accessed by all." he elaborated, explaining the existence of technical, philisophical, and practical knowledge that has been prepared by the Svajone over the past year."It is the responsibility of all who remain to be on the watch for abuses by those who would think themselves gods, as well as abusive mortals. Civilizations here have been ravaged by these beings in the past. The wisdom and gifts I will leave behind provides sentients with the requisite tools to resist this oppression, provided it is acted upon."Later, Mikage mentioned plans for his own future. "I am to leave here, satisfied in the good works I have performed for this place. Other projects in other realities shall be worked on, sealed from the influences of this current place." likely indicating his plans to use interdimensional travel technology.Legally, command of the station will proceed to a new commmander, but it has not been announced who that will be at this time. A date of Mikage's departure has not been announced.
