B'hiri technicians work around the clock to make sure this rough metal platform is kept clear of drifting snow and ice. Several bubble-like berths are available for starships of various sizes. The main spaceport terminal is a cluster of interconnected domes that handle passenger processing, cargo manifests, and luggage assignment. Spindle-like black metal towers rise on two sides of the pad, with warrior B'hiri perched atop and on watch for any trouble that might arise.

Ladek huffs thoughtfully at the question Alenya asks, "I am sure they do, its a question of if they care enough, I just wish that some of them know I love them," he whispers, glancing at his picture, a tear drops on it, and the man clears up his emotions, "I am sure that I am able to communicate," he adds, there's a glance at the woman, "I am glad that I met ya at least, what other books do you like?" he asks, his hand gripping the picture as if it were a lifeline.Ladek and Alenya are seated at a crate outside of the IND Runecraft. There is almost a solemn air to that area of the Landing Pad.

Alenya pats Ladek's hand consolingly, her mouth turning down slightly at the corners. All in all, she gazes at him pitiably. "By all means send them a note. Let them know that you need them now. People can't resist such a thing as being needed." Her demeanor brightens a bit once he inquires after her books. "Oh, I have all of the most gauche, new and old, at home. Father says it's not proper for a woman of courting age to go about reading as much as I do, it'll scare suitors off. He says a man doesn't like to think his woman is more well-read than he is." With a bit of a grave nod, she continues on. "My favorites are Shakespeare, and this new chap, Charles Dickens. He published a whole series just last year, and has promised to follow up with more. And of course there's Poe, the quintessential American author, I say. Others find him, well..macabre. But it's really the way of things these days!" She pauses to muse more, steepling her fingers against one another while the luminous green sights fly upwards and to the left, as if in attempt to see directly into her own brain.

Xanya steps out of the shuttle along with her guard and Aid. She looks around armed with her camera. "oke you two. I hope you're not scared of spiders." She says two her aid and her guard. Her Aid swallows a bit her guard grins.

The plethora of information is listened to by Ladek, intently upon each word. There's a smile that plays at his lips. Hear people's life stories, waiting to possibly be killed, but it's sobering. "I have heard of these authors though during my time they were ancient, of course due to rifters their works have become well-known, I of course am a fan of a more modern, CJ. Cherryh, I like some of Anderson's works, then of course Victor Hugo and some of them you mentioned became classics, favored by many, and just to say, I am sure that it would attract suitors, because women love to read from my time, my sister-," then there is an awkward moment, where his features turn to a frown, "She was killed though," he says sadly, "She loves reading, was as skilled as me with technology," a glance over at Xanya and there is a wave towards that group, with a sigh at Alenya, "If I survive, we should find a proper escort, I'd love to read or be read to someday of these classics."

Alenya stands up abruptly from where she sits, the oncoming Xanya, Mark, and guard flagged down with a wild waving of her arm above her head. "Xanya! Xanya! Over here! Did you finish your holiday on Aukam?" The shouting ceases, the bit of girlish excitement that bubbled to the top quickly smoothered by an overwhelming self-consciousness. Almost as an afterthought, a glance is given to Ladek over her shoulder, "A married woman makes a very fitting chaperone, but Miss Harden has her camera with her, which means she'd like to tour the planet. I intend to go with her, will you come along, or are you resigned to stay here, lest your friends show up?"

Alenya nods her approval of his accompanying them, and trots across the starport to intersect Xanya and her mini-entourage. His dismay at not being listened to seems to have been missed, though it's hard to image the alert rogue missing much. An oration is directed to Xanya once the theif meets her group, and she gestures toward Ladek. "Have you met Captain Dall before? He's infamous now, but I assure you, I don't feel any threat in his accompanying us. Oh isn't the ice splendid? And there's a hot kiosk, if you want some coffee or tea to go." Indeed, she does appear to be excited, though cautious glances are thrown toward the sentinels at regular intervals.

Xanya looks over to ladek and gives a nod then back to Alenya. "Yes We have met." She simply says her Aid whispers something in xanya's ear. Her guard doesn't apear to give ladek a much notice but a trained eye can tell she is keeping an eye on him.

Ladek moves along with Alenya, giving a nod towards Xanya, "I am glad to see you again, I know we are hardly best friends but it's good to see familiar people, I understand if the recent events make you inclines to do less business with me, I might leave the business of mine and ships to a dear friend anyways if I am killed."

Alenya starts a bit, looking between Xanya and Ladek. "Oh, hmm..." is her only retort. Heaving a breath, the roguel looks pointedly at Xanya. "Where to first? The travel book here...I mean, now that I know how to download them...say there are some sights not to be missed, but you're the expert on holidays, so I shall leave the directions up to you." With a bit of a wink, the decidely tingling femme rocks back and forth, heels and toes, just waiting." Xanya and her Aide, accompanied by guard, are standing near the offramp for shuttle access, Alenya positively bounding around like a puppy, while Ladek is close behind. Kethren has just arrived on a shuttle, and has yet to make a formal entrance.

Xanya nods to ladek. "Thats one way of putting it. and your right. with your aperance on the news it has been declared i have for now put business with you on hold untill I have been able to make a decision." She then turns to Alenya. "I haven't decided on where to go I usualy just wolk around a bit untill I see something that interests me." She says Her, ladek and alenya are on the laanding pad. Xanya is acompanied by her Aid Mark and her Guard Thrace.

Yet another run of the mill shuttles has landed. Yet again it dispenses passengers. Not many this time, though. Just a an architect in a thick fur lined coat, accompanied by a rather snazzy white tiger. And seeing the oft elusive Fish, he heads that direction.

With an adjustment of his scarf, Ladek looks at the slow gathering of people, with a sigh, then a sideglance at the pirate. Its official. Its a party. Live it up, "By the Corps, can I at least get killed with a semblance of peace?" he asks, then shifts, "Umm, Fish, Xanya, and umm, Kethren," he says, as best the rifter knows their names, "I dunno the people with the woman," he adds towards Mark and Thrace. There's a shift at his ship, then at Cassandra and Alenya, as though wrapping his mind around the variety of styles people are wearing, "My mind, I have probably been executed, is this afterlife?"

Alenya jumps slightly as Kethren and his tiger appear at her side, a gasp followed by an elongated exhale issuing from the rogue. "Kethren! My goodness, where did you come from? I mean, other than the obvious. Are you on holiday, too? We shall have a grand time, I think." An aside happens, and she stoops forward, a hand held up to descretly whisper to the Architect, "I dare say better than we had last time, eh?" Righting her posture, her eyes move from the Councilman toward Ladek and his accostation from a particular ruby-tressed pirate. Thin tracts of silken chestnut move along burnished skin, half-question, half surprise taking over her visage.

Xanya turns and sees Kethren and waves to him. "hello there. fancy meeting you here?" She says and give s akind wave to cassamdra. "and hello to you too.".

Kethren grins "Hey, Fish. Just thought it'd be fun to go somewhere where Nuala can sneak about out in the open. Evenin, Xan."

"I," says the seawoman with a thatrical bow, "am Cassandra de la Fuego, former explorer and captain of the Santa Rosa, La Serpiente Ignea, and the Blazing Beast! And currently, none shall kill Ladek as long as I am being paid!" She gives a self-satisfied grin to the rest of the crowd and places one hand on her hip and the other on the hilt of her blade, exuding an aura of grandiosity.

There is an audible facepalm from the direction of Ladek. Then there is a glance towards the group of general gathered people, "Ya, I dont think that assists with fighting hand to hand with dinosaur things," he says, with a sigh, a smile towards Alenya, "I am glad that I have met ya," he adds, then towards Kethren and Xanya, with a frown, "I know DC's stance, but do I at least have your forgiveness as people before this?"

Xanya nods to cassandra with a smile. "Don't worrie about me I got more important things to do then spend time in jail or worse." She says and then hears her pda go off which she picks up to read a message that came in.

Kethren nods to Xan and pulls out his own pda, tapping in a few things quickly. With that done he reaches down to scratch Nuala a bit.

"Sciocchezze!" exclaims Cassandra, scoffing, "I can fight any beast! If you have fought on the deck of a ship, you can fight anywhere." She nods surely and gives another grin. "Buonasera, Signor Kethren and Signora Xanya!" she then says with a sweeping bow, "Come stai?"

There's a sigh from Ladek as the rifter glances at people fiddling with their PDAs, "I wonder if that means they are forgiving," he says, turning towards Cassandra, "I have fought aboard a ship against slavers."

Xanya sighs a bit and puts her pda away again. "sorry folks. I have to go. There seems to be trouble with some workers at Stardust Manufacturing. I'll see you all some other time." She says and heads into the first shuttle that arrives followed closely by her Aid Mark and her Female Guard Thrace.

Kethren nods distractedly "Nite, Xan."
