Overview:

Widely accepted as not an ordinary planet, in that things such as the gravitational pull of other systems and suns do not seem to effect it, Circe has had both scientists and philosophers baffled for centuries. Following what appears to be a random trajectory, the planet has been known to take up orbit around several different star systems in its long history, always moving on to another before too many centuries have passed. To this day, it is still not known what causes the planet to shift from one system to another.

History:

Said to be as old as the universe is infinite, there have been no conclusive results of attempts to date the planet's creation. The race which has evolved among its many giant forests and jungles stand as its vigilant guardians, jealously protecting it. Their histories detail its voyage through the stars from such a time as they were able to record such things, however these histories are among their most closely guarded secrets, only able to be accessed by the Patriarchs themselves.

Circe's Relationship With the Myini:

Circe exhibits a unique, and low level psionic field about which the Myini have evolved. A telepathic race, it is said that by monitoring the subtle changes in Circe's telepathic field, a Myini Shaman was able to predict such things as changes in the weather, or natural disasters before they occurred. Though this has not been conclusively proven, it is a fact that the Myini cannot exist outside of Circe's telepathic field for more then five years. A Myini who is denied access to Circe's telepathic field for over five years is almost always taken by madness. This, combined with an overwhelming urge to return, sees that the Myini as a race have never taken to colonising other planets for the long term.

Culture on Circe:

In Myini culture, Circe is all important. Seen as almost a deity, the planet has for the longest time been respected and worshipped. In this culture, for one Myini to murder another Myini is among the most despicable of crimes. This is perhaps because when a Myini dies, its telepathic connection to Circe is cut, therefore lowering the overall telepathic field by a fraction. In place of execution, they would rather torture and imprison.

On Circe, war between Myini is almost unheard of. In their ancient history, there have been two examples of war amongst themselves, the details of which have been lost to time. There are far too many occasions of times when the Myini have had to unite to drive back a common threat, whether it be natural disaster or a plague of the planet's dangerous wildlife.

Religion on Circe:

Aside from worshipping the planet itself, there are no gods in Myini culture. Instead, they pay respects to the legends of their past. Statues of past Patriarchs can be found in every major city, and the stories of their exploits told taught to their young.

Terrain:

For the most part, Circe is covered in giant jungles and forests, the trees of which are known to grow taller then ten miles high. It is in these trees that the Myini are known to make their cities, taking shelter in the hollowed out wood from the local wildlife. The mountains are desolate, and the green seas are treacherous.

Trade:

The Myini trade primarily in what lumber they can spare. They have also stockpiled a large amount of raw metals from their exploits on other planets, which they trade where required.

Government:

Tribe structures which would be lead by a Shaman and a tribesleader fell away under a unified kingdom, ruled by the Shaman said to be chosen by the planet. This leader became known as Cirno Haeta, or Speaker of The Planet.

These days Cirno Haeta is chosen from one of the ruling Patriarchs, all of which were at one stage in their lives a Shaman.

For a Shaman to become a Patriarch, they must undertake several rituals, and trials, made to test both one's devotion to their race, but also to their planet. Most do not survive these trials, and the Patriarch are considered to be the finest of Myini. To have one lead you into battle is to be guaranteed a glorious victory, or a glorious death.

Law on Circe:

Myini subscribe to the Bright Cluster Standard Laws and Rights Agreement, with few exceptions. The following are but a few of the Standard Laws and Rights that they have agreed to.

1, No Myini may murder another Myini for any reason. (the only exception to this is in the case of a Druid who does not undertake his Trial of the Claw)

2, Theft is illegal

3, Rape is illegal

4, Kidnapping is illegal

5, Assault is illegal

Though the law will always look favourably on a Patriarch or Shaman, all Myini have the same rights.

Current Position:

Circe currently orbits a large sun in the centre of Nyrek's strand at, 0,0 in the Bright Cluster.
