Description

Ice Snakes are a rarely seen animal on B'hira, mostly due to the fact that they blend in perfectly with the snow.

Averaging around 50-60 feet long and 5 feet in diameter, Ice Snakes are capable of swallowing even a smaller B'hiri whole. When in their active months they are aggressive and very dangerous, thus making them an attraction for thrill seeking hunters. When in their hibernation months they are nearly impossible to rouse if found and often assumed to be dead by other predators and left alone. If one is roused from a hibernation state, it will be in a very foul mood, the adrenaline rush making it less sluggish than one would assume it to be.

RP Guidelines

A very difficult predator to deal with, on average attacks for an Ice Snake should be rolled at a Superb level for an active month, and Great for one that's been roused out of an inactive phase.

In addition to powerful jaws that can easily break bones and rend flesh, Ice Snakes secrete a mild paralytic poison from their fangs. Thus, even a graze will impose a negative modifier on defenders starting on the second round after a wound has been inflicted.

Mods are as follows:

  • 1st round- 0
  • 2nd round- -1
  • 3rd round- -1
  • 4th round- -2
  • 5th round- -2
  • 6th round- -3
  • 7th round- -3
  • 8th round- -4

Any further rounds are subject to full on paralysis unless an anti-toxin can be administered.
