Alts

You're allowed to have as many alternate characters as you like. However, they should never assist each other or participate simultaneously in a scene. It is permissible to share Saga Points between characters, but it would be poor form for one of your alts to build a starship for another alt or to share weaponry or other gear.

Complaints

If you've got questions, concerns, or complaints, you can use the +str system in-game, @mail Brody or send email to jointhesaga@gmail.com.

Contributions

We gladly accept contributions to the MUSH via PayPal and Dwolla to jointhesaga@gmail.com. Contributions help cover our server costs throughout the year. However, it should go without saying that contributions don't make players immune to any policies here.

Harassment

Sometimes people clash. And sometimes people take their differences too far. If we learn that one player is harassing another, we will investigate the claims. This may result in temporary suspension from the game for one or all involved. In the most extreme situations, it could lead to a permanent ban from OtherSpace.

Language

We expect polite behavior on OOC channels, so keep cussing to a minimum. We don't think it's necessary to censor in-character profanity, however. If your character swears like a sailor, so be it.

Logs

Events on OtherSpace - particularly those involving characters played by Wes Platt (a.k.a. Brody) - may be logged for use in RP anthologies distributed as free PDFs to promote the creative opportunities offered by the MUSH. They may also be posted in the Wiki or on the Jointhesaga.com website.

Spamming

On OtherSpace, this tends to manifest as someone speedwalking through a scene in progress - perhaps oblivious to what's going on. They walk into a room, then pass through an exit. Walk back in. Walk back out. Walk back in. Ad nauseum. This results in players who are trying to enjoy a scene seeing something like "Bob has arrived," "Bob has left," over and over and over again. Don't do this. First time, you'll probably get a warning from the players in the scene. Second time, they may report you to staffers. Let's never get to a third time.
