Alternate-Lunite female best known for her associations with Jeff Ryan and the Watchers as well as being the Captain of the GMF Athena in the normalverse. Since appearing in Hiverspace, she has joined the crew of the Olympus as a member of their security detail.
Over the years, she has changed from a shy, quiet young woman into a confident, combat expert who specializes in hand to hand, but also has considerable skill in firing weapons.

Growing up, Raisa was always incredibly close to her older brother, Nicholas. Despite the differences in age, he would always include his sister in whatever he was doing, so she grew up very athletic and getting into scrapes of one sort or another. After he left planet, however, all association seemed to cease between the two, perhaps out of Raisa's hurt that he hadn't taken her with him.
With her brother gone, relations grew very distant between her and her parents who had many marital issues. When Raisa was 16, they divorced. Michelle left their small community for the Capital to take up a career in journalism once again. At the age of 20, Raisa also left home, heading for Neidermeyer's Landing to hopefully not only find her mother, but start a career in journalism as well.
Employment
Over the past several years, as Raisa has become visible to the public eye, she has served in a variety of different capacities, ranging from secretary to bar manager to the Captain of the GMF Athena.
In this time period, she has undergone many trials and met several people of great fame or infamy who she would count among her friends.

The Watchers
From the time of its inception, the Watchers remained a thorn in Raisa's side until the day she finally turned her back on them and they in turn shunned her. From the beginning, Raisa was given the title of Watcher Two. Under the guidance of Jeff Ryan, she did what she could go watch over what was happening in the universe and report in.
After his death, the Watchers went under new leadership with Raisa remaining in a supporting and advisory role, much to her relief. Leadership within the organization changed hands several times and it was with great reluctance that she took command shortly after her marriage to Jeff Ryan.
After things ended on a personal level with Ryan, she officially left the group for some time, though repeatedly found herself drawn back into the fold. Things kept changing and the days of the original Watchers soon came to an end.
The Watchers played an incredibly important role in Raisa's life over the years, with their way of thinking ingrained to her very core. Though she walked away from that life, deep down, she knows that she will always remain an original Watcher, often to the annoyance of the person she is with.
Family
After Raisa left home, she had very little in the way of family, instead choosing to surround herself with friends that she cared for as much as family.
Around 3007, Raisa found her brother Nicholas again by chance on Demaria. The two were finally able to share a relationship though it was a bit strained considering the time apart and the way that each had changed over the years.
After her marriage to Brandon McDowell, she also inherited a sister, Tiana. The two were not overly close while in their universe but after coming into Hiverspace, the two eventually refound each other. They remain close to this day and Raisa currently works for Tiana on the Olympus. Her loyalty to her sister is well-known and there is nothing she wouldn't do to protect her.
Personal Relationships
Over the years, rumors of several relationships have popped up in association with the name Raisa Amondella and she has in fact developed a bit of a reputation for her promiscuity, though whether all of the rumors are true has yet to be determined.
Isoroku Tanaka
Met in early 3003 on La Terre where the two began dating. From the beginning, the relationship was strained due to working on different planets but it progressed enough that Tanaka proposed marriage and Raisa accepted. This did not last, however, and the two soon broke up due to conflict. They remained uneasy friends for some time before Raisa finally broke all communication.
Jeff Ryan
Perhaps her most notable relationship over the course of her life, Raisa's romance with Ryan was one full of ups and downs. She has stated several times that Jeff Ryan was truly the love of her life and soul mate, even if they could never manage to get things right.
The two met in Freedom's Landing in early 3003 where he gave her the offer of work, putting her in the path of several famous names and dangerous situations over the year. They began officially dating in mid-3003 until his apparent death on an exploding transport ship as he was preparing to take Captaincy for a Castori research ship.
Months later, he reappears, still alive, and before they have the chance to begin dating again, Andreo Ignazio attempts to take Ryan back into custody (from which he just escaped on Luna) and a fight commences which leaves Raisa wounded. Ryan flees to the Sparefish Bar and enters a hostage situation, but is later captured. Raisa attempts to fight for Ryan's freedom by going undercover in the original-Lunite government under Governor Fuad but is eventually arrested by the Guardian Fleet for her associations with Ryan and tortured for information. Ryan is assumed dead, once more.
After Raisa has begun to heal from the death of Ryan and enter into a new relationship, Jeff Ryan returns. This causes several problems with her current relationship and after much back and forth, she leaves him for Jeff. The two remain together and eventually get married. Just days after their long awaited marriage, Ryan leaves on another mission, much to the grief of Raisa. In her anxiety and fear, she has an affair with another member of the Watchers who had been assigned to protect her by their leader. Upon Ryan's return, he learns of the affair and divorces Raisa. For some time, they have no contact.
Jeff Ryan eventually ends up on New Luna as a General in the New Luna Militia where their paths finally cross. It has been years since they've been in contact. The two become uneasy friends and for a brief moment, consider trying again but his girlfriend announced her pregnancy at the same time.
At this same time, Raisa was being stalked and attacked by unknown entities and out of fear for her crew aboard the Athena and friends, she handed herself over to them. Upon hearing what happened, Ryan took action to find her location, sacrificing some of his fingers for the needed information.
Once he had seen her safe, they parted ways once again. She heard that he was killed in action during the war.
In Hiverspace, she very briefly came across Sam Gideon, a descendent of Jeff Ryan and an exact replica of the man she once knew. After the initial shock, they discussed what it all meant before she dropped off of the map entirely. Since her return, she has had no contact with him.
Ren Arnassis
In early 3004, while on Sol Station, Raisa came across Ren Arnassis, then with the RNS. The two had been casual acquaintances while on Luna but they struck up a friendship that rapidly became something more.
At that time, Raisa was living on La Terre and Arnassis chose to leave the RNS to be with her. The couple dated for some time and then became engaged. They moved to Antimone for the change in scenery where Raisa came across Jeff Ryan. After much struggle, she broke up with Arnassis to be with Ryan.
Since that time, Raisa and Arnassis have come across each other on occasion but their meetings are always reserved and businesslike.
Brandon McDowell
While working on the Athena, Raisa made the acquaintance of Malion Vincess with a great deal of flirting and an eventual brief fling. After Vincess moved on to another ship, they severed contact.
Later, after a bouny was placed on Malion's head, he took the identity of Brandon McDowell and the two met back up again. They were good friends and Raisa hired him as a part of the Athena's security detail. Despite the fact that he was married, the two began an affair which became public after his wife committed suicide.
Due to his symbiotic relationship with the Thole, he became a target for a shady organization who wanted to do research and testing on McDowell. In an effort to protect him, Raisa allowed herself to be taken by their operatives and was tortured for days before McDowell was brought in and they were able to orchestrate an escape.
After their return to civilization, the two began to openly live together on Demaria and rumor spread that she was pregnant and settling into a somewhat normal life. While they did have their ups and downs, betrayals on both sides, it was clear that they were serious about each other and they eventually got married.
As a favor to Marlan and the Athena crew, they went out on one last mission towards Palisade where they had a crash landing on a nearby moon. Raisa went into labor where she gave birth to their daughter, Remi Tiana McDowell.
Once they were rescued, Raisa and McDowell returned to Demaria where they remained until Raisa was pulled through the rifts and her husband and daughter were not.
While Captain of the Athena, Raisa ended up hiring on a young Ungstiri man as an addition to her security team. While Raisa and Vadim both felt a mutual attraction and spent a great deal of time flirting with each other, nothing ever happened and he eventually moved on to other ventures.
Years later in Hiverspace, Raisa had joined the Olympus and by luck came across Vadim again. This time, the two embarked on an unusual relationship as Raisa belonged to the crew of a grey area vessel and he was the President of the Orion Confederacy. The two did not see each other as often as they would have liked but their feelings for each other were genuine.
Unfortunately, things continued to be difficult and growing more difficult as their relationship began to progress but neither were willing or able to take the next step in their commitment which lead to fighting and anger.
After the death of a long time rival and fellow Outverser - Mika - Vadim broke up with Raisa, citing Mika's death as a leading factor. Despite the anger and hurt, Raisa accepted it and the two have avoided each other since.
Dirionis Callot
In the wake of her failed relationship with Vadim, Raisa met up with Dirionis Callot, a fellow Lunite from their original universe. The two became friends and after a period of time, started to date. Things were getting serious between the two, with them essentially living together on Eiru when he was killed in a brutal fight in their room at the Bull and Hawk Tavern and Inn.
