Swift Blades

The Swift Blades are an elite mounted unit that was created in 174 ATA by Talus Kahar V to quickly respond to threats within the Aegis. They were used extensively in the subsequent Quarantine and Purge of the Old City, but are most famous for their charges during the Second Wildling War.

The Swift Blades are commissioned by the Emperor as his personal knights (as opposed to House knights) and have a completely martial focus. They are the bodyguards of the Emperor, are a mobile unit of heavy cavalry which the Emperor's Blades lack and oftentimes assist in various investigations which affect the realm as a whole.
