Who He Is

Wessrin Kahar is a noble hailing from Marble Grove, known particular for his designs in gemstones and jewelry, though as with most noblemen, the trade is more of a hobby. His business line is largely left in the hands of a trusted craftsman, Baer Soonkite. Only when other nobles commission him does Wessrin handle the task personally.

When he's not cavorting with Lomasa companions or visiting the Crescent Moon, he's sparring with his signature dual voulges.

Quintessential Description

Wessrin is a man of average height and build. His features cannot be easily discerned, as there is a wide-brimmed hat that rests low on his brow, and beneath it, a black mesh is worn much like a bandana, only pulled down over his eyes and the bridge of his nose. With a palette of tans and forest greens made from silk, lined with black trimming, he wears something of a long-sleeve tunic over basic trousers. Glinting bits of gold, silver and gems dot his form, peeking out from the ends of his sleeves and the mesh at his neck. Notably, his belt is inlaid with gold and gemstones carved into the shapes of horses.

Biography

Wessrin spent much of his youth traveling with his father to help conduct precious gem trades. He was more of a dabbler than anything else, prone to bouts of sudden inspiration, whether it be learning to paint or attempting to smith weaponry. Though he never became a Jack-of-all-trades, often forgetting what he'd learned just a few days after. He did, however, manage to stick with his father's particular skill of appraising gemstones, and grew to learn the delicate craft of jewelry making.

At 18, his Kahar curse began to become evident. Over the course of several weeks, Wessrin grew more and more sensitive to light, and it wasn't long before mere candles pained him. His parents blocked his windows, and he refused to leave the pitch black comfort of his room for months on end. When sound was his only form of entertainment, he learned to whistle in five different ways, and kept himself busy with a stringed instruments that his mother gave him. During this period, he developed Prisoner's Cinema, and began to see color in darkness, shapes that would seemingly appear dreams.

Three months of this, and his curse began to ease up. From soft indoor light to the sunlight, he was able to tread outside again, though only with the aid of a mesh cloth bound over his eyes and a wide-brimmed hat.

Wessrin cannot be called reserved in the least. He is blunt when he is curious, and doesn't revel in conflicts, though he enjoys it when people go off on rants. Passion attracts him, which is why he probably visits the Crescent Moon more often than he ought to. Like most of his house, he is practical though perhaps a bit more forgiving when it comes to the supernatural. When he's not failing to learn a new trade, he can be found gem carving, musing conspiracy theories with anyone who cares to listen, and attending every ballroom event he gets wind of.
