Classic OtherSpace Log: Ungstiri Tough

Posted on November 30, 2013 By Brody No Comments on Classic OtherSpace Log: Ungstiri Tough

In the Lamplighter Tavern on Citadel Base, people have gathered for a celebration – a sendoff for Vanguard personnel who are going with Sanctuary to defend her, and a last hurrah for the ones who must stay behind to face the coming onslaught of the Kretonians…

On the Holo-Viewer: The Consortium Broadcasting Network logo appears on the holovid.

Daerius looks over to the Holo Viewer.

Fireeyes, with a rather large mug filled to the brim, looks to the Holo-viewer.

Melissa is sitting at the bar, “Well…i think today’s gonna kind of be a free for all Mr. Rackman..won’t really matter WHERE we sit..”

Ta’isgrup similarly moves over to the holo-video to see.

Denick turns his gaze from those entering to the Holo-viewer.

Rackman shrugs and places the chair back, “ok, suit yourself” He sits back down and looks to the Holoviewer.

Newt grabs a drink (whitish looking.. possibly milk without the mixer 😉 and plants his butt down at a small table.

On the Holo-Viewer: A Castori newscaster appears onscreen, and says, “Good evening to all our viewers throughout the Fringe and Stellar Consortium. First in the news: Odysseus, the home of Lord Fagin the Pirate King, a planetoid tucked between two black holes – has fallen into one of the black holes, a catastrophe caused – apparently – by a ship exploding close enough to knock Odysseus off kilter. It is unknown how many casualties resulted – or if Lord Fagin was among them.”

Classic OtherSpace Log: Intolerance

Duke Buchanan spreads his message of not-so-good will to some of the alien denizens of Sanctuary…

Flight Deck <UCV Sanctuary>

– Sanctuary –

===========================================================================

A high, broad chamber that serves as the flight prep and launch deck for the Sanctuary colony ship. A blister module high atop the port wall, above the entrance, serves as the control tower. To starboard, a wide slit opens onto the blackness of space. The cargo bay is aft. A muster room is fore.

MacDonald frowns at the packages but looks back to Volestad, “Well then..if you can get our ID cards set up and move us into the schedule..I’d appreciate it very much..”

Volestad flickers with yellow as Arn’ga approaches. “Yes?” he says, and also gives a nod to MacDonald. “Of course.”

Buchanan strides onto the flight deck, his eyes taking in the activity.

MacDonald smiles slightly and then glances over at Arn’ga

Arn’ga straightens from his looming. “You stare at me too long, why?” his spine bristles seem to move slightly in agitation.

Classic OtherSpace Log: Choices

Posted on November 30, 2013 By Brody No Comments on Classic OtherSpace Log: Choices

The Consortium Council gathers to discuss recent events, ranging from developments on Demaria to the capture of the shadowtrappers menacing Centauri to Ist’thol’mek’s application for Consortium membership.

Council Chambers

This is the Consortium Council Offical Chambers, where all of the Consortium’s important decisions are made. The room is centered around a large, black, ovular confrence table. This table has six seats on each side and one at the head. At each place on the table is a small computer console and a microphone, for the use of council members. In the center of the table is a pyramid-shaped device; a holograpic projector.

Security officers patrol this room constantly when it is not in use, making sure no one gets in except for the members and their aides.

Dahan floats into the chamber. Suspended from its collar is a 14 inch diameter bubble of a transparent material, inside of which rests the wriggling Marda. Dahan floats over, and takes its place at the table.

From the balcony above: Denick walks in quitely, and takes a seat near the front as well.

Marda looks about curiously.

From the balcony above: Blackface steps in, sitting in a chair near the back. He rests his cap on his lap.

Dahan plugs in a cable from it’s collar to the table. Soon, a computerized voice says, “Vocalizer on-line.”

Fimkin is sitting in his chair, studying his furry fingers with sleepy intensity.

Avocet’s weary Odarite aide sets the metallic box on the platform beside the general’s seat. Avocet nods, then goes back to studying his datapad display.

Volnarra has arrived.

Dahan turns its head a little to the left, then to the right. “I see we still have a few guests that need to arrive. We will wait for the Mekke delagation.”

Several Mekke guards, their black carapaces gleaming under the lights, scurry into the chamber through the archway, taking up positions on either side of the arch.

Volnarra strides in quickly, her gown flaring about her legs, her skin a pale red. “Greetings, please forgive my tardiness.”

Classic OtherSpace Log: Trial of Talis Grant

Posted on November 30, 2013 By Brody No Comments on Classic OtherSpace Log: Trial of Talis Grant

Col. Talis Grant (FettaS) and his second-in-command from the SCD Indomitable face a court martial for their role in an incident that led to the deaths of thousands of Sivadians during Arc III (Pandora’s Lament).

Situation Room – SCCV VERSAILLES

– SCCV Versailles

A projection screen and interstellar map dominate the aft bulkhead of this spacious chamber, with a podium before the screen that bears the Vanguard seal – an eagle clutching a lightning bolt in one taloned foot and a bushel of wheat in the other, against a backdrop of blazing stars. Two dozen chairs are arranged in four rows of six for crew and pilots to gather for briefings. A Stellar Consortium index terminal is off to port. To starboard, a holographic imager table allows officers to plan military strategy in three dimensions.

Entering moments before the Colonel, a Captain in stiff, creased dress uniform enters. The expression on his face is emotionless, though a lurking impression of anger and hatred runs rampant.

With short, crisp strides, a prim and proper man wearing a starched uniform and rank insignia of Colonel arrives. He nods to a passing yeoman as she stride from the room, documents in hand. “Evening, Gentlemen.”

AB145Q swivels its head to regard the Colonel, and blinks in acknowledgement. “Good evening, Colonel.”

Richards nods “Evening Colonel”

FettaS arrives from Corridor – Deck 1 – SCCV VERSAILLES.

FettaS enters from outside.

Marcus looks dispassionately at the newly arrived, thus far unknown Colonel. “Colonel.” Is all he says in a raspy voice, already making his way towards a nearby seat.

Kaspar arrives from Corridor – Deck 1 – SCCV VERSAILLES.

Ash arrives from Corridor – Deck 1 – SCCV VERSAILLES.

Kaspar changes his stance to attention at the sight of his superiors.

Jenkins clears his throat, making his way towards the head of the situation room’s table. Once there he turns to survey the room and the accompanying officers. His eyes scan the gathering group, stopping on Richards’ face, then Marcus, Kaspar and the newly arriving Ash. Finally, it comes to rest on AB145Q’s presence after briefly flickering past FettaS’ own visage. “Are we ready, Colonel?”
