[REVIEW] The ghouls are back in town

Posted on July 24, 2016 By Brody No Comments on [REVIEW] The ghouls are back in town

ghostbusters2

Ultimately, the Paul Feig reboot of Ghostbusters isn’t the worst thing I’ve ever watched.

In fact, it was actually pretty fun as an homage to the original 1980s movie – including appearances by Sigourney Weaver, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and a sneaky cameo by the bust of the late, great Harold Ramis.

Sometimes it felt sluggish. Occasionally, it tried too hard for laughs. But so did the original. Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Melissa McCarthy, and Leslie Jones bring unique fresh energy to the ghost-hunters story in an adventure that nicely sets up a sequel that I can only hope outshines the horrible Ghostbusters 2.
