Who They Are
Ector Allo is a former Sivadian noble (the 129th Earl of New Deptford) who was rifted into Hiverspace in 2853.
Description
A young appearing Sivadian male who's dusky complexion is so dark it almost borders on brown. He is of medium height and has a compact wiry build. His facial features are moderate and rather unremarkable. His rich brown colored skin has tan highlights, and his lips are usually a thin emotionless line-even when expressing a smile or a frown. His eyes are seemingly pupiless pools of emotion, expressing his pleasure or displeasure in lieu of the rest of his face. His movements impart a sense of disciplined and trained style with both fluid smoothness and energetic emphasis. His blond hair is cropped thin and fuzz short. His brown eyes twinkle with childlike mischief but the rest of his face speaks of deadly intent. He has broad shoulders and a thin waist. Upon his form is a black armored suit over a black bodysuit. On the high mandarin collar of his undersuit is the the RSMC rank of Leftenant Colonel. He is rather athletic and limber, and under his armor and equipment, seems to have a wiry muscular build. His figure moves with calculated grace and precision. On his feet he wears a set of 'Rough-Grip' Laymax assault boots. Over his armor he wears a nylex, multi-pocketed, combat vest. On his belt are equipment pouches. He is armed with a Fiach Pathfinder's Stun Rifle and twin pulse pistols which are currently holstered. He also carries a sheathed Tonfu rightways across his lower back and a Silat Stun wand just below it sheathed leftways. He has a command toggled voice activated throat microphone for his comlink attached to the throat of his uniform. On his head is a multiform black balaclava currently in beret mode.
Biography
FAMILY & CHILDHOOD
Ector was born June 3rd 2818 to two Noble Born Sivadian Naval Officers. Harrow, Ector's father, was a famous explorer and a Captain of some note. Ector grew up idolizing his father. His mother, who left the fleet to raise him, had been a Lieutenant in the Navigation field, a stellar cartographer. Ector was a bright and imaginative child, he made friends easily and was always naturally easy going. Growing through his preteen years on Sivad, Ector was tempered by a deeply spiritual belief system. Ector learned to read at age five and by age six had already been placed in an accelerated class. This naturally earned him the ire of the 'regular' students, and despite his affability he started to run afoul of bullies. A life changing event occurred when he was young . When Ector was seven his mother returned to service and he went to live with his grandparents. Ector's grandparents lived on Sivad but were growing old. They had little ability to deal with a mentally voracious youth and his social troubles. To harness his energies his grandfather insisted he visit with his mother aboard a long range resupply vessel to meet up with Harrow. Harrow's ship found an apparently uninhabited M-class planet with a rich archaeological past. After a month in orbit the Captain ordered shore leave for all aboard. The family went down as part of a picnic group. A band of Umians turned up and demanded the group surrender their females. A human officer with a wide amount of diplomatic experience eased the tensions and negotiated a release. Ector was soundly impressed. Harrow demanded his son return to live with his grandfather. Ector's grandfather insisted he run 5 miles each day. The family met annually in front of the Capital City Victory Memorial in Enaj until Harrow's and Asha's untimely deaths aboard the RNS Kursk at the hands of an Umian Raider. Ector matured with his grandparents until it was time for his secondary education. Ector had a childhood friend named Tanya Jivan. Tanya was a natural athelete and in turn for help with her school work she ran with Ector and protected him from bullies. When Ector hit adolescence a freakish trait manifested itself. He had developed an Eidetic Movement Memory. His family formed a plan move him enter him in a family martial arts Dojo and let his Uncle mentor him.
TEENAGE YEARS
Once in the Dojo, he lived with his Uncle's family until he graduated from secondary school, which he did two years early with honors. His Uncle was a famous writer and scholar ontop of being a Penkjat Silat Master. He owned an extensive library. Along with continuing to enforce the grandfather's exercise regime he insisted Kovad read and journaedl. The Uncle encouraged Ector to dabble in creative writing. As a writer Ector failed in his Uncle's eyes, only producing passable poetry, which Ector's Uncle considered a lower art form. Ector found passion in study and debate, he didn't enjoy the competitiveness, he enjoyed taking a stance and verbally defending it.
After Ector graduated from secondary school he immediately applied for a scholarship to the Enaj Institute of Intergalactic studies against family advice and was conditionally accepted due to his young age. He studied Intergalactic Affairs and Political Science. He met a professor who had known his father. The professor, Daniel Reichert, had been a Lieutenant Commander in the Royal Navy. The stories Professor Reichert shared with Ector fired a desire to join the military himself. He decided to travel the Sivad as a 'Road scholar' while he waited for his Naval Academy 'packet to mature'. He visited a few of the inner colony worlds and had begun on the border worlds when he finally turned 18. He learned he could talk his way out of most trouble. He learned that very few races are truly aggressive and belligerent pointlessly. Through out school and travel Ector kept up his exercise regime.
ADULTHOOD
He entered the Royal Sivadian Marine Corps Academy at age 18. His grades were far above the class average, sufficient to land him on the Dean's list. Along with the above average grades was the above average impression he made on his professors, he was thorough and did the extra work and then some. He made few friends at the academy, but he met up with an old ally, Tanya Jivan, she was a year ahead of him and struggling. He tutored her and her grades improved. It was the beginning of a relationship that became a secret tryst that lasted until Tanya graduated. She was commissioned as a security officer. Ector specialized in Security Studies and Interstellar Law and minored in Intergalactic Security Studies. He graduated 11th in his class.
Once Ector graduated he was assigned to the RNS Endurance as a Marine Security Officer and using his secondary skills he stood as a supernumerary watch officer. During this period he worked on his Diplomatic skills. The Endurance was assigned to explore coreward. He advised on 3 first contact missions. Ector was part of a Diplomatic team that signed a limited contact agreement with the Demarians and got the Sivadians safe passage rights through Demarin Space. In 2645 Ector was promoted to 1st Lieutenant. His promotion was accompanied by a transfer to the RNS Essex, Flagship of 5th Fleet. On the Essex he began his role as Security Attache Officer and performing his duties flawlessly. In 2846, just a year after the transfer he was assigned to accompany a diplomatic team to talk to Kretonian representatives about negotiating a Timoean withdrawl from Etosha VI. The Timoeans had decided to use the withdrawl as an excuse to bring in troop ships with reinforcements. The diplomatic team was ambushed on the way to the meeting point. Ector was wounded. The team leader was killed. The Timonae forces engaged transponder inhibitors. Ector rallied a defense and using combadges and tricorders had the team rig a transponder enhancer. Ector drew enemy fire so the rest of the team had a chance to complete the improvisation. He used the speed garnered from years of running to make a dash from cover point to cover point, firing wildly as he went. The team fought until they could be evacuated, losing four more out of the original ten. Ector eventually ran out from under the inhibitor and was evacuated just after he was wounded again. The situation in space was desperate. The Essex and it's escorts retreated back to unoccupied space. Ector earned the Victory Cross. The award was sullied by the news that Lt JG Tanya Jivan died due to wounds suffered in a surprise attack on the ship she was serving aboard.
After a long tour of retraining in Spec Ops he was transferred to the USS Endurance. On the Endurance he began his role as Chief Tactical Officer and performed his duties flawlessly. Just a year after the transfer he was assigned to provide ship based fire support of a Forward Naval Gunfire Control Team sent to cover the Sivadian withdrawal from Abarkad II. In the end it was also a trap. The Kretonians had decided to try and embarrass and dishearten the Sivadian forces. The Gunfire Control team was ambushed on the way to the rally and evac point. Ector used an improvised sensor probe loaded with anti-matter as a high power torpedo. The opposing force leader was killed. The Kretonian forces engaged transponder inhibitors. Ector was in constant up linked communication with the Gunfire team. He rallied a defense and using combadges and tricorders had the team rig another transponder enhancer. Ector suppressed enemy fire so the rest of the team had a chance to complete the improvisation. He used the speed garnered from years of console practice to keep the superior enemy numbers from over running the Surface Team. The situation in space was again desperate. The Endurance and it's escorts retreated back to unoccupied space. Ector earned meritorious promotion (but deferred) to Lieutenant Colonel. Later on Ector was Assigned to the RNS Alacrity, a Akira Class Cruiser, as a Marine Detachment Commanding Officer. His assignments have solidified his perception of himself as a Warrior-Poet in his mind. His family felt he had established himself and thusly offered to enfranchise him as an Earl. Ector had one stipulation, his unrequitted teen crush on the noble born Miranda Hailfax would need to be resolved into an arranged marriage. Luckily for him her family was amicable to the idea. The were married and found they truly enjoyed each other's company.
PRESENT
In the recent past Both Ector and Miranda were drawn into Hiver Space. After a bit of searching they found each other and set themselves up in the new community.
Ector is currently a Fiach Pathfinder for the Pyracan Government.
FUTURE GOALS
If Ector ever returns to Sivad home space he hopes to join the leadership of SHIELD.
