A race of Human-like Kamiroids that can live to be centuries old. They average around eight feet tall with olive skin, silver hair and eyes that glow different colors depending on their mood. They originate from Aukam and were the heirs to the Kamir civilization but let it go to waste.
The Aukami were the heirs to everything the Kamir left behind after their Ascension, but their own legacy was one of overreaching arrogance and bitter disappointment. Much of the homeworld, Aukam, has fallen into ruins that have been reclaimed by jungles and deserts across the planet's surface. Ancient ziggurats, most of them crumbling, rise from the wreckage.
+

Only one major city remains - an ember glowing in the ashes of Aukami civilization: Multvaros. It is a sprawling metropolis with an intact ziggurat at its heart - the Bright Temple, as it is known to the city's inhabitants. The Bright Temple is the seat of power. When a new leader is elected by the Cepelem (representative council of Aukami scientists and doctors), a powerful shaft of light erupts from the temple, followed closely by a psionic pulse that can be felt by the entire populace.

Males and females vary little in size, but the females tend towards lighter feather colors than the males. Young Falari who are younger than 18 years have the same uniform feather color that is typically a shade of brown. From their 18th year on, their head feathers and wingtip feathers begin to change to the whiter color they will have the rest of their adult life. Some Falari have tail feathers that are also a white color, while others retain the brown color as the rest of their body feathers.

Tens of thousands of Gankri each year are compelled genetically to embark on dangerous pilgrimages through some of their homeworld's most treacherous terrain, without lifesaving gear, which can lead to massive population die-offs. As a result, the Gankri are often preoccupied with the need to procreate so that their risky compulsions don't cause their extinction.

Millions of years ago, the Kamir were a humanoid race of powerful psionicists that enjoyed manipulating the genetics of other races and dabbled in the development of artificial intelligence and importantly, the Hivers. Llivori are bipedal, badger-like aliens with claws, averaging five feet in height. The Kamir created the Llivori as proxy warriors to conquer alien worlds on behalf of their masters. After the Kamir fled this realm to escape the wrath of the Hivers, they felt ashamed of how they had been used and became far less interested in taking their place in the stars.

The Kamir created the Llivori as proxy warriors to conquer alien worlds on behalf of their masters. After the Kamir fled this realm to escape the wrath of the Hivers, they felt ashamed of how they had been used and became far less interested in taking their place in the stars. Instead, they turned their attention to the neighboring Opodians, who hold the Kamir in the highest esteem, and sought to block their every advance on Kamsho. The Llivori have nothing but disdain for the Opodians and, in general, would like nothing more than to tear down every temple, burn every Opo'te book, and conquer every square inch of sacred Opodian land.

Known as Lotorian "roamers" it is believed that these furred bipedal aliens once had a homeworld, but they lost it to some catastrophe ages ago. Although tales of the catastrophe vary from Lotorian to Lotorian, most agree the disaster was caused by the Kamir. Now, they have proliferated throughout Hiverspace, aboard family-owned starships, in service to the Hekayti, or in solitary pursuit of financial gain. On average, Lotorians are about five feet tall. They're covered in coarse fur, which is usually some variation of brown or gray. They've got elongated snouts and eyes that are banded by black fur. The design of the band varies from family to family. They've got two arms and two legs, and each appendage has six digits. They have prehensile tails.

The Opodians were originally developed by the Kamir as an experiment in fierce, relentless devotion to their creators. The overseer of the experiment was a Kamir named Opodi, in whose honor they built statues and temples. They formed a religion around Opodi, but she and all the other Kamir eventually fled the world to escape the Hiver War. The Opodians have maintained their faith, however, and their zealotry has not been diluted by the ages. They are virulently opposed to all sacrilegious transgressions against their goddess and they have fought wars against the Llivori over lands deemed sacred.

Before the voyage ended, stymied in their attempts to successfully capture kids for harvesting, the Thul settled on accepting a pair of adult criminals - Lord Fagin the Pirate King and former Vanguard General Dimitri Volstov - for their purposes. The Kamir created the Tupai to work as servants in their grand palaces on Kamm Shohob, Aukam, and elsewhere throughout Hiverspace. After the exodus of the Kamir, however, the Tupai were without masters. They became absorbed primarily into the cultural landscape of the Llivori, who employ them as inexpensive labor. Higher-paid Tupai are put to use as spies, often conducting aerial surveillance and other covert operations against the Opodians.

Their skin always looks more brown than green, however. Their eyes and hair are usually silver, with eyes occasionally demonstrating browns or light purples.

Phyrrian Tasker Units are mobile robots equipped with advanced artifical intelligence. Taskers come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and temperments to suit their equally varied purposes. All are designed by the Overmind to collect the vast amounts of data it requires, generally by performing a specific duty or set of duties. They are designed to self-destruct or otherwise resist investigation or modification of their internals by non-Phyrrians; however, skilled individuals have compromised a Tasker on at least one occasion.

Otherspace sizechart hiverspacers.jpg

Aukami-thumb.jpg

Aukami

A race of Human-like Kamiroids that can live to be centuries old. They average around eight feet tall with olive skin, silver hair and eyes that glow different colors depending on their mood. They originate from Aukam and were the heirs to the Kamir civilization but let it go to waste.

This race is open and encouraged for newbies.

B'hiri-thumb.jpg

B'hiri

A race of psionic arachnoids native to the icy world of B'hira in Hiverspace, which they share with the felinoid Lyiri. Individual B'hiri are technically hermaphrodites, capable of changing sex as needed between the violent, aggressive male phase and the calmer, more intellectual female phase.

This race is open to application, but is moderately challenging and requires a more detailed understanding of theme.

Drrhaan-thumb.jpg

Drrhaan

Massive bipedal rock creatures, these polished zen giants have a mastery of the electromagnetic spectrum, and were only recently discovered by the rest of Hiverspace. They are skilled in melee combat, and have a surprising knack for computers.

This race is open and encouraged for newbies.

Falari-thumb.jpg

Falari

Falari are tall avian beings that evolved from a large predatory bird that was prominent on Falar in ancient times. They average eight and a half feet in height, some specimens reaching nine feet. Their feather colors are typically range in color from tan to dark brown, while their head feathers are typically cream to white in color.

This race is open and encouraged for newbies.

Gankri-thumb.jpg

Gankri

One of four intelligent races that have evolved on an ancient homeworld of the Kamir - once known as Kamm Shohob, now known as Kamsho. Their furred, nimble hands are webbed.

This race is open to application, but is moderately challenging and requires a more detailed understanding of theme.

Hekayti-thumb.jpg

Hekayti

On average, Hekayti stand from seven to nine-feet-tall. Their skin is mottled green, an evolutionary adaptation that they developed millennia ago to find camouflage from predators in the tropical jungles of their homeworld Hekayt Prime. They have bony growths, like ram horns, jutting from their skulls. They have hooved feet, and backwards-bending knees.

This race is open and encouraged for newbies.

Kamir-thumb.jpg

Kamir

Millions of years ago, the Kamir were a humanoid race of powerful psionicists that enjoyed manipulating the genetics of other races and dabbled in the development of artificial intelligence and importantly, the Hivers. The few that survived when the Hivers revolted transcended to a level of non-corporeal existence to escape their renegade creation.

This race is not open to application.

Llivori-thumb.jpg

Llivori

Llivori are bipedal, badger-like aliens with claws, averaging five feet in height. The Kamir created the Llivori as proxy warriors to conquer alien worlds on behalf of their masters. After the Kamir fled this realm to escape the wrath of the Hivers, they felt ashamed of how they had been used and became far less interested in taking their place in the stars.

This race is open and encouraged for newbies.

Lotorian-thumb.jpg

On average, Lotorians resemble raccoons; they are about five feet tall, furry and have elongated snouts and eyes.

This race is open and encouraged for newbies.

Lyiri-thumb.jpg

Lyiri

On average, these bipedal felinoids stand about five feet tall and are covered in fur. Color blind, they come from cities built in icy caverns below the surface of the planet B'hira, which they share with the spider-like B'hiri. The Lyiri share a predisposition toward commerce with the Lotorians, but their natural telepathic gifts make them automatic foes of the psi-hating Lotorians.

This race is open to application, but is moderately challenging and requires a more detailed understanding of theme.

Muscipulan-thumb.jpg

Riftwalker-thumb.jpg

Riftwalker

A wan, waifish humanoid made solely out of psionics and telekinetically-held-together dust particles between two and five feet tall, they appear in Hiverspace with absolutely no memory of their past.
