Main (Otherspace) Time Line Varal
Fastheld
Varal was born to a Alela Mikin, a disgraced noblewoman for having a bastard child. She ran to the Shadow District, supporting herself and her child through various jobs and prostitution for nearly thirteen years before her relations found her. Alela was quietly executed, while the pragmatic Mikins were loathe to waste the potential of a child, even if only a bastard. After a thorough effort to make sure the child was free of the Shadow's Touch. Having been terrorized, the young child was given the name Varal and taught to be a loyal servant of House Mikin. Starting as part of the Ducal Guard, he made enough of a name of himself to become a personal bodyguard of the Duke and subsequently made a minor noble and given a keep outside Light's Reach. Though known for being a hardliner, his flexibility allowed him to survive the fall of Light's Reach to the Ravager as well as the integration of the Shadow-Touched in the society of Fastheld proper. Over time, he became a Count and one of the more important nobles of House Mikin, and a member of some standing in House Valoria when the Mikins and Kahar unified.
Otherspace
The relocation of Varal to a Hiverspace was a difficult transition for him, but he has since found employment with the Olympus as the Chief of Security. He has since dropped the name Valoria and returned to Mikin, and quietly searches for a means of returning back to his Fastheld. As such, he has a strong interest in all artifacts related to the Kamir.
Alternate (Palisade Pocket Universe) Time Line Varal
Varal's early history remains largely the same, although instead of being bodyguard to Duke Alieron Mikin he is instead the bodyguard to Duke Hobet Mikin. Varal was present for the assassination of the noble leaders, and holds himself somewhat responsible for the death of his Duke. His primary goal, for the time being, is to hunt down those responsible. At present, Light's Watch is currently being renovated after being returned to him by Hobet just prior to the assassination.

Otherspace Timeline Varal corresponds to slightly younger than Fehr's appearance in the TV series V (just starting to get gray), while Fastheld Timeline Varal is a little younger than Fehr's appearance in Resident Evil: Apocalypse. Palisade Varal is represented by John Oates.
